What happened to the Christian fundamental belief that a person becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus? One is not saved because one is good. Only God is good. One is saved and changed by giving one's life to Christ. I believe this young man repented. People who do not like Christianity simply want this sort of show off the air so that it might be replaced with another Bitten, Penny Dreadful, Deadwood, Dexter, Hannibal, etc....

He was in the public spotlight as Executive Director of the Family Research Council, and publicly criticized the gay community, calling them pedophiles. If he was indeed a repentant man for molesting 5 little girls why did he resign?

He should now know what evils sin leads to. He knows what "gays" are about because he knows where he was heading. He resigned, I feel, to appease the rabid mob.

I am absolutely confident that he is every bit as pure and innocent now, as he was when he was 14 years old.

I have a relative (in law) who was sexually abused by her step father for 5 or 6 years, when she was a child. It has had a devastating impact on her entire life. Then, again, maybe she will get over it some day. She is only 69 years old.

Josh would have learned one hell of a lot more about sexual assault in General Population in prison than he ever learned from his parents and his religion. But, then, maybe his potentially close encounter with inmates in stir may have made him the gay hater that he became.

What a very shallow thing to say. You never stole? You never lied? You never cheated? You never cursed? You never got drunk? You never did anything worthy of jail time had you been caught? How about fornication with a minor nonetheless? I don't hate "gays" ; however, one cannot help a drunk if one believes getting drunk is not a problem... Likewise, one cannot help a "homosexual" by encouraging them in that pursuit. Sex exists for procreation and not as a spectator sport or to make people feel good about themselves. That does not mean it isn't enjoyed by married couples; however, they should be willing to accept the responsibilities of parenthood which may (God willing) come about by the action.

Hey....................it is possible to get over it someday. From the ages of 7 until I was around 12, I was mentally, physically and sexually abused by my stepfather, and some of the relatives I had to go live with after I was orphaned.

Yes, with counseling and a bit of emotional work, you can get over it. I did.

But............the benefit of being able to work through those childhood issues that I had to deal with? I now have a skill set to be able to help others who endured the same kind of things that I did.
