The DNC should never have let Bernie run

That's kind of what I just said. You can't be bothered to consider how the system works and what the result would be WITHIN that system --- which we're sentenced to --- and just want to score points on a message board, completely ignorant of what the result of that course would be.

Prove me wrong. Regale us with tales of what would actually happen if Sanders were to split third party, with his current level of support, and we DON'T end up with Woodrow Wilson. How's that work?

Hm?

Who wins?
AGAIN, integrity is lost. Just keep that ass pointed out for the duopoly
If people don't expect change, change wont happen.

You didn't answer the question. Didn't even touch it.

The fact remains, you can't just bury your head in the sand, make low moaning sounds and think "it's safer in here", ignoring the way the world works, warts and all.

Now answer the question. Like you should have before you started.
I didn't answer it because im pretty sure we wont end up with a 100 year old dead body :D

So you have no answer. Because you didn't think it through.

Here's your answer: Your result is Woodrow Wilson, painted Orange, minus all education, experience and ability but with enhanced con artist features. And it wouldn't at this point surprise me if you have no clue what that means.

You can't just ignore how the System works.
you mean the duopoly rigged system? LOL
This is what they call a circle of stupidity. Im done.

You sure are. Next time think it through before you embarrass yourself.

Bernie is not now nor has he ever been a Democrat. But they decided to be nice; a dumb move when it comes to politics. The DNC should have known that allowing a socialist to run would end up making the party look stupid. Oh well hindsight is 20/20.

Also, I'm amused that republicans are showing such strong support for Bernie, who is an open communist. Almost as if they have no idea how much better he polls against Trump than Hillary.

You fail to understand the system.

For starters, Republicans do not support Bernie. We support a fair system where everyone's vote counts. It's why opposition to Trump was quickly shouted down at our convention. Reince Priebus ran a fair election even though there was opposition to Trump within the party.

Secondly, Democrats know if Bernie runs as a Socialist separate from the DNC Hillary would never win. They need his supporters. It would be like Ted Cruz running separately. Like they say, keep your friends close and your enemies even closer.

If the GOP pulled the same shit on Trump that the DNC pulled on Bernie, I can promise you I would not fall in line and vote GOP. Hillary would have easily had my vote. It's stunning and sad to watch Bernie sellout and let a rigged election happen.

For any readers not entirely grokking the "Woodrow Wilson" reference....

1912 was a fascinating election year with many parallels to the present. You had a candidate with wild big hair. You had a Socialist. You had Democrats and Republicans, and one of the latter was a loud bombastic sort from New York, derided by his critics as an egomaniac.

Well the loud bombast was Teddy Roosevelt and he actually won most of the primary elections, usually by easy margins, so when he came into the Republican convention he expected to be the nominee.

Didn't work out that way though -- the convention snubbed him and nominated the guy from Ohio (Taft) who had one one state in the primaries.

TR left in a huff, went down the street and started his own party, called the Progressive and popularly known as the "Bull Moose", because he was a manly-man.

What were the results?

Due to the level of his support TR won enough states to come in second, pushing Taft the Republican to third place. Woodrow Wilson, with less than 42% of the popular vote, got the Electoral College vote in a landslide. With less than 42%.

THAT is how the system works when you try to go third party in a Duopoly with a significant level of support and THAT is what Bernie Sanders splitting off to a third party would have done -- put the Orange Maniac into office, even if most of the electorate voted against him.*

That's the reality. Now if you don't have a significant level of support you can be a Ralph Nader or a John Anderson or a Jill Stein, and just "make a statement". About the size of a pea in the ocean.

That's how the Duopoly perpetuates itself.

*Woodrow Wilson was a racist asshole but he was waaaaay above the level of a Donald Rump. He had even held actual jobs before that. He had some prep.
To this we might add the example of 1948 when Strom Thurmond and his fellow travellers stormed out of the Democratic convention and ran as their own States Rights ("Dixiecrat") party, nearly siphoning off enough votes to throw the election to Dewey. The South at the time was the "Solid South", locked into voting Democratic despite its conservatism, and those Thurmond votes (to which Trent Lott alluded in the Thurmond birthday speech) would have gone to Truman and handed him the election easily.

What's funny is he's probably among the boobs demonizing Ted Cruz for NOT selling out

That's all common knowledge. We realize Cruz or Bernie splitting off hands the election to the other party. But we can't letting an election be rigged. That has to come first among all else.

Ted Cruz is just pissed because of the argument over the wives and comment about his father. Cruz is not a socialist with an entirely different agenda for America.

Doesn't matter where he stands on squat -- it works the same way.

Having it both ways --- Priceless.

How about, say --- Kasich? Sellout or not?

Perhaps we're unclear on the meaning of the term "sellout". Let's show a visual clue:

Oh he certainly has an entirely different agenda for America. We've all already won this election because Cruz is out.

The Libs NEVER expected the American people to hate and distrust Hillary so much that they would rally around Sanders, forcing the DNC to betray, plot, scheme, and have to rig the system in order to help her beat Bernie!

In the end, without the massive effort by the DNC and their rigging the system, Hillary would NOT have won the candidacy.

Clinton won by 3.8 million votes. Sanders had no support from minorities. How in the world did the DNC rig for that result?

You people need to think and not just blindly repeat shit you think sounds good.

And that's very simply because Hillary, being an ex-FLOTUS, Senator and cabinetmaker, went in with a lot more name recognition than Sanders, which is why she dominated, for instance, the black vote in Mississippi. Which is ironic since Bernie was marching with Martin Luther King and getting arrested for the same principles he still holds today while Hillary was a Goldwater Girl. Only political junkies and Vermonters knew who Bernie was on the same scale.

It just demonstrates again a truism about the average voter: "I'll vote for that one because I've heard of her".

I agree with that completely. I would just add that the Clinton's did a lot of work building and maintaining their bona fides with minorities their entire adult lives, ie: Bill was the Defacto first black president. While Sanders has no doubt spent his career working along the same lines, he has not had the national exposure needed to garner the support required to defeat Clinton. If it were anyone else, I'd say he had a good shot.

Today, Bernie asked for all the delegates to vote for Hillary in the official record!

Bernie asked his supporters to vote for Hillary and pleaded for them not to protest the convention.

Bernie never really pledged to support the nomination, but it seems like he is going to campaign for her like his life depends on it!!

As if this is surprising!! I told you long ago that Sanders was going to support Hillary. People claiming he was going to run third party was talking crazy BS because they hoped Bernie was just like Trump!

No, Bernie is nothing like Trump! Bernie is selfless and has integrity! Trump is a joke that has taken on new life!!

Yes.....that was a weakness.......real socialists would have shown up at his home in the middle of the night....and he would have just...disappeared.......that is how socialists around the world do it.......
