Remember the Disclose Act, the one that Congress shot down last year? When the SCOTUS came out with Citizens v United that allowed political contributions by big biz, and so the Dems tried to pass a cockamamie law that was riddled with exemptions? Well now Obama is going to sign an executive order that will require a company that wants a federal contract to first disclose if the company or it's executives gave more than $5,000 in political donations. Which is essentially what the Disclose Act was all about, but they added a req't to include donations to independent groups (PACs).

Doesn't cover unions of course, or to recipients of federal grants which are usually dems. This is a naked attempt to embarass or intimidate companies who want gov't work from contributing to GOP campaigns. Obama couldn't get it through Congress, so he'll do the same thing by circumventing them. Same as the EPA will do for the Cap and Trade Act that Congress didn't pass either, he will do it through executive orders if he thinks he can get away with it.

So you tell me, if a company or it's execs gave money to the GOP, what do you think their chances are of getting a federal gov't contract? Even if they have to lowest bid that satidfies the req'ts, I'd say their chances are slim and none. And Slim left town.
