The difference between liberal and progressive

Lets get something straight and realize that most people are liberal in this country but liberal in the very classical sense. It was the one that believe in freedom but who were the progressives in this country? The progressives were T.Rosevelt and Wilson who wanted to implement a socialist agenda in this country but failed. What most people don't realize is that fascist and progressives did almost identical things to each other. This means that progressives and liberals are not the same thing in this country since many fascist declared they were not liberals so we must see that there are only two political stances in this country which is liberal to the right and progressive/communist to the left.
