If this was an actual court case The President's team would ask for a directed verdict as the prosecution has failed to come close to meeting its burden of proof to a prima facie case even before rebuttal evidence is heard.

I don't recall the exact source but I was watching CBS News on the computer. They were talking like there were already 3 Republican Senators voting for removal, and Senator Alexander was leaning toward removal.
