ABC orders 'Roseanne' spinoff for fall minus Roseanne Barr

As far as I understand it, Roseanne doesn't own the show. She doesn't really get a say.

ABC ordered 10 episodes of the spinoff after Barr agreed to forgo any creative or financial participation in it.

In a statement issued by the show's producer, Barr says she agreed to the settlement in order to save the jobs of 200 cast and crew members.

Won't be the same. And I guess Sarah Gilbert realized nobody would watch her sorry ass but they MIGHT with John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf. However...neither of them need the job because they are wanted many other places so..I am a bit disappointed they agreed to do it without Roseanne. And no...I won't watch. Might catch the first episode to see how stupid it will be, though.

SCREW THAT. So Roseanne said something about Planet of the Apes in her OWN TIME. BFD, You can't work for someone these days unless (at least publicly) your attitudes are in total harmony with who you work for? Are we half way yet to 1984 where no one can voice an individual opinion? And apologies are no good anymore.

Talk about an overreaction. Has any casino banned Kathy Griffin for that bloody head of Trump? Has any theater closed and barred DeNiro for his F Trump? Have any shows canceled on Fonda for his demand that Barron be stripped and raped from his family? ALL ABC had to do was to simply say: Hey, Roseanne does not speak for us and her voiced opinions and views are HER OWN.

What next? Employers ban you from work for being against illegal immigration? Religion? For owning or being pro-gun? Even the NFL doesn't end a guy's career for heinous crimes, they only suspend you for a few games. Fuck ABC the Corporate Fascist.

SCREW ABC. They ordered a whole 8 episodes last season and a whole 10 more of "The Connors." Gee. Used to be a TV season ran from just after labor day till around the beginning of summer and a season was about 30 episodes. Is it any wonder why TV is dying? "Roseanne" (the new one) was the ONE SHOW I've seen on TV to really tackle controversial issues like in the days of All In The Family.

Roseanne without Roseanne; I just got into the show last winter and now they've even taken the reruns off other channels? What did Barr do, axe murder someone? Gee, OJ Simpson actually DID kill someone in cold blood and they still show his movies! Charlie Manson was a crazy maniac and they do specials on him! Roseanne Barr has been ERASED from TV as though she never existed. Roseanne Barr was the entire dynamic that show revolved around and it will be a JOKE and a FARCE and an INSULT to run it without her. I will not be caught dead watching a single episode and I hope the ratings suck, and AFAIC, all those going on without her are disloyal to the core. SCREW ABC, and screw the cast for not defending Roseanne and demanding it either be with her or NOT AT FUCKING ALL.
