The Confederacy of Takers

But for your theory to be true, your side should have gained the majority in the House, it did not. In fact the dems LOST seats. Should have gained a super majority in the US Senate, it did not. In fact the GOP held steady.

Since the democrats GAINED seats in both the House and Senate and since Democrats actually won more votes in House elections:
"Democrats earned more combined votes in the House elections this year, which means they won the popular vote for that chamber of Congress. For what it’s worth, this marks only the fourth time in the past century that the party with fewer overall votes came away with the House majority."

Barney Frank’s claim about a should-be Democratic House majority - The Washington Post

I am assuming you to be a person of their word and will stuipulate that the theory is true.
Again, urban minority voters from these postage stamp sized districts voted in lockstep for
demorats. They are programmed. They cannot think for themselves. All they know is "who I vote for so's I can git my check".
And leave it to a liberal rag like the WashPo to turn a loss into a win.
Yes, a loss. Your side did not win the House back so it's a loss. That's ok. Live the spin.
Democrat pundits had the US House going back to the democrats. WRONG!

The boy might want to rethink his position, the states Romney carried produce most of the food and energy in this country, if you break it down by county Romney carried close to 80% of the land mass. So he might be the one who should be careful what he wishes for.

Good, they'll need a barter economy when left without a financial system. Oh, and they'll also need a recognized commodity exchange.

and they'll also need plenty of handouts from the Blue states.
Wonder what the blue states will say when they come begging for "foreign" aid?

What like New York, LOL the state is bankrupt, larger deficit than some nations ,yep lots of money.

This is all just silliness. No state, not a single one, is even beginning to contemplate secession. They aren't even exploring the idea outside of a very, very few politicians who are either so far out of the mainstream themselves they have no contact at all with reality, or are just playing up to that particular constituency.

All that is happening is a bunch of people are taking advantage of a program Obama set up which allows private citizens to directly petition the white house, which imposes absolutely no obligation upon the white house except to respond if it signed by more than 25,000. None of it is actually coming from any state government.

And if you think this is some great movement, the biggest group is from Texas at 80,000. That is just 0.3% of that state's population. In comparison, 29% of the voters there voted for Obama.

This is just the media finding something else to beat a drum over. Nothing more.

However, if anyone is actually serious about this and really does want to secede. It is very simple. All you have to do is renounce your citizenship.

Perhaps you're unaware that most of those same red states that you label as "takers" have large minority populations in them. What do you want them to do, deport them to other states?

So it's hardly a fair criticism to cite that statistic without mentioning the reason those states consume large amounts of local and federal assistance.

Yes, we have ripped the 'red states are welfare states' meme a gaping new poopshoot.

LOL

Only in your tiny pea brain.

Seceding isn't the same thing as renouncing your citizenship, so that suggestion was just plain stupid.

Speaking of fools, why do you have a picture of H.L. Mencken for your Avatar? Mencken hated left-wing morons like you.

When the libturds ridicule the red states, what they are really doing is ridiculing blacks and Hispanics. In other words, they're nothing but a bunch of filthy racists.

California alone would break the blue empire. What Millbank isn't recognzing that the states considered poor, like Alaska, West Virginia, Kentucky and Montana are very very wealthy. They are kept poor by a federal government that has regulated exploitation of natural resources out of existence. West Virginia and Kentucky have vast mines. Montana is part of the Bakken field. Alaska is delirously wealthy with oil and natural gas. Louisiana would no longer need federal permits to drill off their own gulf coast lines.

Once states seceded, they would be directing these efforts themselves. Farmland would no longer be subjected to the EPA regulations and could grow. Whereas the orchards and fields of California would still be fallow and abandoned to protect the delta smelt.

That's just for starters. The confederacy of blue state takers would still be drifting into degeneracy with a population finding escape in drugs, lazyness and sex without consequences. How wealthy would red states become without having to support the leech cities of Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Flint, Dearbornistan, In a perfect liberal world, these cities are glittering hubs of industry and commerce. In reality they are individual war zones. The Red State Nation would be well rid of them.

Where to start....

WV and KY....vast mining opportunities you say? Once the states broke the unions, who would mine the coal? Illegal immigrants?

Alaska is deliriously rich with oil. Sarah Palin already has the oil companies paying the state for the right to work there. Without protected shipping lanes, how will this oil be transported? Or do you foresee Alaska with all of it's wealth creating a Navy too?

Farmland? What farmland? Without the farm subsidies provided by the Federal government, most farmers would go out of business.

True, this notion of ‘red states’ being able to survive without the benefit and protection of the Federal government is naïve, childish idiocy.

Nice kneejerk response, moron. California only receives 78 cents for every tax dollar paid. Why don't you get the facts before running your mouth.

As we move the goalposts....

Nothing was moved simpleton. That's exactly the point made in the OP.

CA was carried by Romney? BTW, when is Texas leaving? Can you stop whining and LEAVE already?

No, you stupid motherfucker, it's worse. Not only are you renouncing your citizenship, you're trying to break up your old country.

A blonde goes into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender fills a mug and slides it down the bar. It hits the blonde woman's boobs and some beer splashes all over them... The bartender goes over, retrieves the mug and licks the beer off her boobs.

Each time the blonde calls for another beer this happens. So after the third beer, a guy decides to help the bartender out. The next time the bartender hit her boobs, the man jumps up and starts to lick her breasts and she decks him!

He is lying on the floor moaning, 'Jeez lady... Why do you let the bartender do it?'

"Hell-oooo!", says the blonde, 'He has a licker license!'

It is the only secession anyone is going to get. What is truly stupid is to suggest that any state is looking to secede. That requires dumbness on a monumental scale. No matter how turgid one may become at the idea.

I am sure many Nations considered such a thing unfathomable before their internal struggles.

I don't consider it unfathomable. I just consider it dumb to look at some internet signatures on a white house web site as equating to a serious movement within the states for secession. I believe the number is 800,000 across the a nation of 300 million. That is about one quarter of one percent and I would wager a significant number of those are people who think it is a funny thing to do.

The difficulty with the far right and the far left is the same. An inability to seperate fantasy from reality.
