'The City That Bush Built'

Tyrants are not stabilizing forces. But coming from a guy who supports Obama, I can see why you might think that.

Of course they are. That's why the US supported Marcos, the Shah, Somoza, Pinochet, Mubato, Mubarek, Franco, and, yes, yes... wait for it... Saddam.

Fallacy...'Supporting' something doesn't validate it. Tyranny is not stability. It's sad that you don't get that. Your moral compass is completely gone.

quite the contrary. A wise PolSci professor once observed that no government exists without the tacit support of its people. The thing was, after we "liberated" Iraq, a lot of Iraqis (when they weren't trying to outright murder our troops) demonstrated with signs with Saddam's picture on them. When Saddam was in charge, the lights were on, the country was unified, there was law and order.

I mean, I know you honestly don't get this, but your boy Bush fucked everything up over there. They really were better off under Saddam.

You seriously see nonsense that you want to see, guy. First off, there were more people celebrating than protesting--way more. And those small numbers of protesters weren't worried about the power; they were Sunni dirtbags who were mad that they had lost their death grip upon the Shia and the Kurds. The country was never 'unified' either. In fact, the chaos after the fact shows just how un-unified they were. But being tortured and killed because you object to government is not stability, guy.

Oh, so the Sunnis are bad, and the Kurds are good? Right. Well, at least this week, until the Kurds stop gettingpaychecks and become the "new" enemy when they start destabilizing Turkey.

Who are ISIS? It's not the Kurds, guy.

No, the Kurds are the PPK. And the reason why Turkey isn't finishing off ISIS is because the are more worried about the PPK stirring up terrorist shit in their country.

The question was who are ISIS? They're thug Sunnis; Saddam's former minions.

No, the question is, why did asshole Bush push Iraq's Sunnis into the arms of Al Qaeda, when they weren't really interested in that shit.

Hint, there were no Iraqis flying planes into buildings on 9/11. Those guys were mostly Saudis.

Your boy Bush fucked up. The fact the Kurds built some nice stuff with our money doesn't make up for that...
