The case for trickle up economics

Yet the nation's standard of living — by almost any standard — is better than ever, or close to it.

Snipe. What world do you inhabit?

How many millions without good paying jobs? With no health insurance? With no equity left in their homes. With their retirement down or gone? With kids that can't find a job and have to move back home?

If things are so damn good snopper, how come so many people think we are on the wrong track? Why isn't consumer confidence higher, if things are so good.

Do you really want to argue how good things are with a President you hate in office?

That is really funny. Things are good, vote Obama. Is that what you are saying?

Any indigent in America, for example, can march into a hospital and demand a $250K major organ transplant - and receive it.

You simply do not understand how standard of living is measured.

You simply do not understand how standard of living is measured.

What I do understand is that you are not real sharp.

So the fact that legislation was passed requiring a private company to provide health services and not be paid for it is your idea of a higher standard of living.

So in your mind giving away expensive services like health care proves what you were claiming. That the "standard of living" is rising.

It is ok for a hospital to be forced to provide care but you can't force people to pay for it. OK

How stupid are you really? IQ over 80? Maybe. On a good day. Do you really fancy yourself as someone that understands "capitalism". LOL. Give it up. It ain't happening.

Standard of living is so high right now, Snipper is voting Obama.

Thank the Pres Snipper for raising your standards.

No, tool.

But the fact that Leftists force providers (and taxpayers) to handout free goods and services to their voters is a big part of why standard or living remains high even in the face of 40 years of Liberalism attacking our free market foundations.

But you digress.

Can you show me an example where worker productivity is not closely associated with prosperity and increase standard of living of the populous?

I'll wait.

Not at all. Obama's standard of living is falsely supported by massive deficit spending.

It is a temporary situation and not anchored in the PRODUCTIVITY needed to sustain.

Trickle up??

Really??

Oh brother.

Like capillary action, idiot.

Productivity is the heart doing the pumping.

Our MASSIVE gains in productivity over the last few decades is the only thing saving us right now from the relatively new competition from the slave labor nations.

Once you understand this, you would never vote for an anti-business Leftist tool such as Owebama again.

Paying people to be poor is the most ridiculous concept to ever leak out of a crack in the liberal mind.
They believe that the ecomony will improve if we take money from consumers and give that money to the poor so they will be consumers. That's the idea. If the poor weren't so damn jealous of the "rich" they'd be working themselves. As it is, there aren't enough really rich people to support the growing numbers of poor. The term "rich" has to be revised down, the rich now make $100,000 a year. By this time next year it will be $50,000.

We'll give tax breaks to the poor so they will have more money with which to invent products and create jobs to make those products???
Is there a simpler way to end this depression??

Nah... let's not have government treat people equally...

Its not like the 'poor' pay federal income taxes anyway... and its not like they pay a tax that the middle class or the rich don't pay (sales, gas, etc)...

I'd rather see exponentially less government spending, causing the need for less taxation... have the private sector back in areas that the government controls now, helping the economy to churn all on its own

Tell me the last product that a rich person invented that no one wanted but sold well

if no one wanted it how could it sell well??????????????

Exactly! Consumers drive the market. That didn't take you so long. </thread>

what? how can they drive the market when we got from the stone age to here thanks to new inventions???

Do you advance history by being a consumer which every human being on earth is or by being a 1 in a million inventor?? A society that equates consumer dolts with inventors will obviously be short lived.

Who advances history, Edison or an idiot who buys Edison's light bulb?
See why we are 100% positive a liberal will be slow??
