He intends to do to every industry in the nation what he did for the auto industry. Which is nationalize it.

Really, obama did nothing for the auto industry. The auto industry is more than GM. GM was simply hand selected to launder democrat campaign contributions and subsidized for that purpose. Suppose GM had gone bankrupt. It would have restructured like Dodge did or disappeared like Studebaker. Did the end of Studebaker in 1966 crash the economy? Was there a world wide depression? Did you notice?

To be fair, if Obama is completely to blame for not turning things around, then we must give complete blame to GW for destroying a good economy. The problem with most people in general is that they just want a scapegoat, and that scapegoat is always the President when it comes to politics, whether or not that President really had the ability to make any changes or not. Critical thinking and ideologues do not make a good match.

Don't forget the Cash for Clunkers program.... Obama only smashed perfectly good used cars so people were forced into buying UAW vehicles in an attempt to stimulate GM and UAW...

To this day I cant even believe his audacity with Obama, GM and UAW - destroy cars just so your union buddies have something to do - like make cars because you destroyed as many affordable used cars as possible???

Of course these people have to get loans to buy these new cars which obviously stimulate the banks...

So basically he fucks the consumer over while he rewards his unions and his banks...

The government is run like Amtrak sells hamburgers.

With the cost of product, infrastructure, salaries and benefits the cost to produce one hamburger sold by Amtrak is $16.00. They can't sell a hamburger, especially one that's not very good, for $16.00. They sell it for $10.00 losing $6.00 on every burger which is subsidized by the taxpayer.

McDonalds can sell a better burger for $1.00, make a profit, and have people waiting in line to get one.

As ridiculous as it is to have government subsidized hamburgers for Amtrak, it is even more senseless to subsidize really money eaters like the Chevy Volt. Each Volt costs $250,000 to make but it's sold for around $40,000. The balance of $210,000 is paid for by the government who will then give a $7,500 tax credit to someone who buys a Volt. obama wants to raise it to $10,000 bringing government subsidy up to $220,000.

Meanwhile, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Kia and Huyndai are making a profit.

How long can these kinds of destructive policies be continued?

The federal government didn't build infrastructure.... 90% of it already existed and was built by communities using communal funds and communal labor..

The federal government can take zero credit for any of our municipal infrastructure...

The federal government should stick to its job - defending us from foreign threats... Once the federal government starts sticking their dick in the mix all of a sudden we start to have problems both socially and economically...
