Face it, the President's record on foreign policy has been excellent, so the repugs are desperately trying to make a major issue out of this horrible incident. They got NOTHING!

There was no way that any reasonable amount of security could have stopped this attack.

Secondly, there was no cover up. There was a slow accumulation of intelligence info about the attack. There was no benefit for the President to 'cover up' the fact that this had been a planned terrorist attack. The fact is that most of the U.S. personnel in the area had been killed - you can't get intelligence info from dead people. It took some time for investigation to determine exactly what happened.

I know that repugs will shamelessly try to take advantage of this politically as much as is possible - 'cause otherwise they have NOTHING to say about foreign policy.
