Steve Palazzo (R-Miss.) was begging the House for more money to fund FEMA flood insurance claims for Katrina victims on May 16, 2012. On Jan. 4, 2013 he votes AGAINST $9 billion to fund FEMA flood insurance claims for Sandy victims.

Two things to keep in mind.

1) The bill included ONLY funding to pay FEMA flood insurance claims to people who have been paying FEMA flood insurance premiums.

2) He has GOT to be the biggest hypocrite in Washington.

Katrina hit in August of 2005. What people are filing flood insurance claims in May of 2012?

Is it possible that he wanted the $9 billion to be funded by cutting a few pork programs to pay for it rather than borrow it from China?

The entire GOP leadership is hypocritical. They approve a lot of spending and then pitch a bitch when the Treasury has to borrow more money from China and the Fed to cover it.

They whine about the national debt, but spend like drunken sailors in a whorehouse and refuse to even consider serious cuts to defense spending.

If you peek through the window at the House of Representatives, you will see the pigs and the men playing poker together.

Two legs good, four legs bad.

Agreed. What's your report card on the Democrats?

Maybe not directed at me, but personally, I'm not much happier with the Democrats either. They don't lose the points for hypocricy like the GOP, but I'm still eagerly awaiting some real spending cuts.

FACTS...FACTS... FACTS!!!
Why Ryan and the OTHER 9 you listed voted against.. FROM YOUR SOURCE: Jonathan Valania: A Roll Call of the 10 Biggest Hypocrites to Vote Against Sandy Relief
"The Senate bill is packed with funding for unrelated items such as commercial fisheries in American Samoa and roof repair of museums in Washington, D.C.," Ryan said. "We need to ensure the necessary resources are provided in response to true emergency needs."
Taxpayers for Common Sense found the bill spent “$20,000 to buy a new car for the Department of Justice inspector general, allows the government to rebuild or relocate flood-prone state facilities in 30 states, has $821 million for dredging projects nationwide and allows loan cancellations for Hurricane Katrina-related loans” in addition to lowering the bar for the “Army Corps of Engineers projects to receive government funding” while increasing funding for Amtrak.

YOU assholes... YOU put in the list ALL other FACTORs, examples BUT NONE except Ryan were evidently ASKED WHY the voted against it!
Was the reporter ONCE again showing the BIAS???

The major reason most Rs voted was PORK!!! PORK!!
And Remember this promise from Obama???

President Obama vowed Wednesday to reduce pork barrel projects in federal spending, even as he planned to sign a budget bill containing billions of dollars for lawmakers' pet projects.

Obama said all future projects known as "earmarks" must have a "legitimate and worthy public purpose" and be subject to competitive bidding procedures, saying special deals for specific companies have been "the single most corrupting element of this practice."
Obama vows to reduce pork barrel spending - ABC News

SO you idiots that are SO selective that's fine... I can appreciate BIASED reporting which is what 85% of reporters do... according to their OWN editors..
What has to happen is the counter balance to your forgetfulness!!!

.

Holy crap, trying to identify the biggest hypocrite in Washington would be like trying to identify the biggest grain of sand on a freakin' beach.

.

Well, you could try and identify the biggest grain of sand on that portion of the beach you are standing on. For instance; Mitch the Bitch McConnel and VP Joe made a fine pork deal for the fiscal cliff. Seeing as how many NASCAR tracks are in the south where many Rethug Senators hail from, you know that Mitch the Bitch put that pork into that bill as the impetous to go along. The Dems, not wanting to be outdone in pork, got their supporters in the movie industry a nice little give away as well.

My two nominees for biggest hypocritical piggies at this time; Joe Biden and Mitch the Bitch McConnel.

Those with the "pork" argument have identified themselves as clueless, talking point hacks.

The bill I am reffering to was TWO PARAGRAPHS long and included NOTHING but $9 billion in funding for FEMA so they could pay out claims to people who suffered a loss and who have BEEN PAYING FEMA flood insurance premiums.

You might as well just wear a T-Shirt that says "I'm an idiot" on it.

It is another perfect example of right wing hypocrisy. When W brought 60 billion in a pork filled Katrina bill, the GOP house and senate passed it without question. Now that there is a democrat in office, the same GOP idiots throw a pissy fit.

There is literally NO excuse for anyone who voted against the $9B dollar bill. And no excuse for defending such behavior.

None, Nada, Zilch.

W didn't bring any bill, the Congress passed a bill and he signed it. The difference I see is that Obama pledged to stop the pork barrel in congressional bills, presumably by not signing them, and W made no such promise.
