The Big Melt Accelerates

That models do not take this into account means that things are worse then the models project.

Ice already submerged in water will not raise sea level, but the thousands of feet above sea level will. When (not if) the WAIS has completely collapsed, sea level will be up almost 20 feet.

I love it when you guys come up with some misguided junior high school physics and think you've discovered something the world's PhDs missed.

You know...the amazing thing is that I believe that you actually believe your own hysterics...sad...

Do the models take into account the ACTIVE VOLCANIC rifts directly UNDER the WAIS?

Maybe that why the models "not taking things into account" is a big reason why YOUR beliefs are built on tissue paper..

I'll concede one thing -- and listen very closely. If it's found that cyclical volcanic activity down in Antarctica can melt and have melted those sea anchored glaciers and we get PROOF of the linkage --

I'll be the first to propose spending money to PREPARE for whatever the impact is expected.
Because that;'s a LOT more specific than the opening of the OP quote which states

Centuries from now, a large swath of the West Antarctic ice sheet is likely to be gone, its hundreds of trillions of tons of ice melted, causing a four-foot rise in already swollen seas.

World's newest glacier is growing on Washington's Mount St. Helens

What once was the remains of the deadliest volcanic eruption in history is breathing new life into the world's youngest glacier, located on Washington's Mount St. Helens.

As global climate change melts ice caps and glaciers around the world, the Mount St. Helens' Crater Glacier continues to grow.

The glacier has been forming for decades in a horseshoe-shaped crater that was left on the mountain after the volcano erupted in May 1980 and caused massive destruction.

Volcanoes really are not that good at melting ice. A number volcanoes are under the ice in Iceland, and only melt the ice during active eruption. The primary reason for the melting of the ice shelves in Anarctica is the warming of the oceans.

On planet Earth at the same time with the same atmosphere with the same amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, one Earth circle has increasing glacier ice, while other areas has decreasing glacier ice. Since CO2 is constant for both, what does CO2 have to do with either one?

Wow. Current climate coddles brand new baby glaciers eh? Let's all do a happy dance.

I thought you were a geologist in training. What's the difference between a volcano and a rift system with MILES of superheated rock on top of them?? Think that could add 0.6degC of warming to coastal waters in the vicinity of the WAIS?

Ice is melting because air and water temperatures are rising. The "coming out of an ice age" is pure bullshit and you know it. The rise of the last century is due primarily to human activities. The rise is taking place at a faster pace than humans will be able to cope with. The impact will be expensive in terms of both dollars and lives - the most expensive event in the history of the human race.

That's what.

Really? Why is it that the earth is getting 20 to 30 percent less sunlight now? Could it be due to geo-engineering and the use of aerosol spraying? Yeah, that would be the cause and it is going on in every NATO country. People in Europe are way more informed about this topic than Americans....just a bunch of sheep here.

My, my. And what do you think lies beneath the ice in Iceland? Not only is it part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, it is also moving apart at the rate of about 2.5 cm per year, while the West Antarctic Rift System is moving apart at the rate 2 mm per year.

Really? 20 to 30 per cent less sunlight? A credible link, please.

Global Dimming: Causes and Effects - Conserve Energy Future

Instead of blaming it on geo-engineering, they are blaming it on (snicker) "fossil fuels"....oil is not a fossil fuel, btw......

Thank you.

Global Dimming: Causes and Effects - Conserve Energy Future

Various regions observe different levels of global dimming. Till now, the Southern Hemisphere has seen very small amounts of global dimming while Northern Hemisphere has witnessed more significant reductions, to the tune of 4-8%. Regions such as parts of Europe and North America has observed partial recovery from dimming while parts of China and India have experienced increase in global dimming.

Now if this is caused by geo-engineering, why has the amount of dimming diminished in the Northern Hemisphere since pollution regulations were imposed on the industries? And why has the dimming increased in those areas that have become industrialized without such regulations in place? Are you saying that our planes are doing this now over India and China without them saying a thing?

Yes, they are blaming it on "fossil fuels" but what they are not telling everyone about is the aerosol spraying program of nano-particulates of heavy metals into the upper atmosphere and that it is actually trapping heat. Now, if we allegedly have "global warming"...why is it that we are getting less sunlight making it's way down to earth? This sure seems like the Hegelian Dialectic being played out for all to see....cause the problem, create an outrage and then propose a solution to the very problem that you caused. BTW, I have yet to come across a leftard that can explain to me as to how we can turn this all around by paying a tax to the very ones that own the oil companies that have suppressed clean, free energy technology since the 1920's?

Seems like "double dipping" to me.........thoughts?

For exactly the same reason that volcanoes cause dimming. Sulphates reflecting sunlight. No need for conspiracies that call for vast numbers of people to somehow all keep their mouths shut. Occams razor.

Yeah, you betcha...I have taken hundreds of photos of the spraying going on and how we will get a week or two without any. Soil and water samples do not lie and they tell a very revealing story of unsafe levels of nano-particulates of aluminum, strontium and barium...which by the way are part of patents for geo-engineering....but I am sure that there must be some other explanation.....like "Occams razor"....(snicker)

You mean changing weather will makes contrails visible at some times and not visible at other times? Go fig.

Soil and water samples do not lie and they tell a very revealing story of unsafe levels of nano-particulates

The term "Nano-particulates" is usually an instant tip-off that you're reading cult babble. If you disagree, give us the exact definition of "Nano-particulates", and explain how you would differentiate such a thing from a dust speck.

of aluminum, strontium and barium...

All commonly found in minerals, which weather away to make up part of soil, so obviously you'd find them in soil. And also in rainwater, being how rain picks up dust from the atmosphere on the way down. And no, such levels haven't increased. That claim is a fraud that the contrails conspiracy cult made up.

which by the way are part of patents for geo-engineering....but I am sure that there must be some other explanation.....like "Occams razor"....(snicker)

The explanation is quite simple. You're babbling nonsense. If you disagree, post actual evidence. Understand, however that "evidence" does not mean "A video of some guys making crazy claims" or "A video of contrails".
