Our health care system the best in the world, what a laugh. We are simply the most expensive. We boast that the foreign elite come here.
That simply means the Elite get great health care. The truth is that for overall effectiveness, (ignore the elite) we have the worst healthcare in the industrialized world. We want to criticize Canada?? They are rated #4, we are rated #37 of 37. I have heard all of the excuses, so don't bother. Before posting negatives about the Canadian system you should know I have lived with both and the talking points and propoganda wont fly. We simply have a system that is made of greed. I see the problems as, greedy trial attorneys, greedy MDs, greedy Hospitals and the fact that our health care is monopolized. We have the AMA that controls who and how many graduate from med school. We have the Hospital association that controls where when why and every other aspect of hospitals. There are 9 people turned back from medical school for every 1 (in many cases unqualified Doctors sons or daughters) that are admitted. The #1 problem with the Canadian system is the FACT that Doctors train there on the gov tit and then come to the good old USA so they can prey (as our doctors do) on the american public and become rich. This is the only profession in this country that you can do a poor job and have great success.

Why are we the most expensive of your examples? There is no way to justify our current system. The system is fixed and we have a bunch of crooks administering health care. Yes, the MEDICAL profession is made up, generally of scammers, frauds, and crooks in the good old USA. The only profession that you are guaranteed wealth without even being proficient. I have personally been involved with 2 visits that took a total of 1 hour of the doctors time and cost me 12,000.00. This is the only civilized country in the world that one illness can cost you your life savings. Sick by any standard.

The first question I ask a doctors office is how much it will cost. Some charge 10 times more than others & they manage to screw suckers like you. Good luck getting anything other than "you're wrong" or "you're an idiot" from many posters here. And you will get nothing more than the talking points, or them picking out things gone bad and claiming that's the norm.

Although I don't like your take on Doctors. THey have to go to 4 years of college, getting near perfect grades or they won't get into med school. THen if they even can get into med school they have 4 years of that, causing them to go into severe debt. Then they have internships and residency working absurd hours essentially being a slave and having no outside of work life. So they are very highly educated and trained, and not everyboyd can be a doctor. Then you have the stress of having other people's lives on your hands. I think doctors deserve to be rich for all they have to do to get there, and how stressful and technical their profession is.
