Yesterday, my damned broadband died. For those who know me, my work life is reliant on decent internet access. I can't access the net, I can't work. I can't work, I don't get paid! 
So, I called my provider today to ask - politely - when the hell I'd get my service back.... long story, since I was on the phone for over an hour but.... during the conversation, I mentioned that I'd been offered a better deal (faster access, better price) with a different provider.
The solution: They've just doubled it at the same price I was offered by the other provider.
Good day today. I can work - and get paid.... AND I got better net access.
I am high fiving myself as I post.
I put the phone down and a friend who's staying with me for a few days said 'Man, you are one tricky bitch.' He knows me very well.
