The Beatles - the best at what they did in human history

Bands that were/are far better than the Beatles ever hoped to be:

The Rolling Stones
The Who
Led Zepplin
Pink Floyd
AC/DC
Steppenwolf
The Doors
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Aerosmith
David Bowie
The Kinks
Fleetwood Mac
Queen
REO Speedwagon
Jimmi Hendrix
The James Gang

And that's not counting the bands from the eighties, nineties, and today's bands.

I really totally sincerely believe that.

Call me wacko ..........so be it ..........

You're wacko.

But seriously, I was young when the Beatles hit the airwaves here in the US. I never was impressed.

same here... mid-60's, I thought these guys were way better...

As an old fart who grew up when the Fab Four was getting all the hype, I have to agree and disagree.

The beatles brought a new type of music to the fore. I will always wonder how, without a formal musical education, McCartney, Lennon, and Harris came up with "rock" music with so much classical influence in it.

Don't believe me?

Check it out and you'll be blown away to discover how much of the chording came from the classics.

However, as far as absolutely awesome harmony - nobody beats the original Beach Boys.
