The profession of lawyer has the advantage of being sufficiently paid. Besides, the specialties offer each professional the opportunity to choose sectors and the public that interests him. Hence the complexity of the job. Lawyer training is very elitist, and it is a generally laborious job with variable work schedules and lengthy advice to the structure as well as incessant pleadings that generally depend on the clientele.

The main duties of a lawyer
As a rule, the lawyer remains the specialist who is responsible for the advice or the defense of legal persons (institutions, companies, associations, etc.) or physical. As a result, the lawyer is called upon to defend his client during a court, be it criminal, administrative or even civil. He can also assist the latter when he is placed in custody or as soon as he begins to be involved in the latter. The lawyer also advises his client to better understand the laws in force. It can also be taken to the establishment of acts in real estate transactions. And finally, we use the services of a lawyer to assist in negotiations between two parties for the impediment of a trial. The profession of lawyer is part of the liberal professions since the lawyer does not depend on any hierarchical authority and has his firm. But some work as an employee according to their choice or according to their specializations in specific areas to better understand the legal expectations of their clients. Nevertheless, whether he is a criminal lawyer or a business lawyer, he is always subject to the rules governed by the national rules of procedure which define the code of ethics as well as the use of the profession of lawyer.

Some figures on the salary of lawyers in America
Per year, a lawyer can receive a gross salary of 81,300 dollars, which equates to 6,775 dollars per month. This sum is still relative especially with the increases that some lawyers are beginning to define. Thus, only 1% of lawyers earn less than 20,000 dollars a year. These are usually new leavers or less experienced. No 10.25% of French lawyers earn between 40,000 and 45,000 dollars gross per year. At the other end, 25.45% of them annually accumulate more than 100,000 gross dollars. This salary scale tends to increase with time. At the beginning of his career, between the ages of 25 and 29, the lawyer receives about 42,000 dollars a year and another at the end of his career, more than 50 years old, can, in turn, earn more than 9,000 dollars a month, or nearly 110,000 dollars gross per year.

That surprises me. I thought lawyers made way more than that, especially experienced ones. Overall if those numbers are accurate, lawyers don't earn as much as engineers which was my profession.
