"The Audacity of Grope" Yea Or Nay?...

Well, let me ask this: What if an inner city police department said "We are tired of all the gang violence in the area of 1st Street and Main. SO......from now on, every single person who drives or walks in a 4 mile radius of 1st and Main will be stopped and searched for weapons."

That would be a 4th amendment violation. You can't stop every single person and search them based on the notion that past crimes have occurred here, and we know if unchecked future ones likely will also, thus we're stopping everyone.

Thats basically what the gov't is doing with the TSA. And it is indeed a 4th amendment violation.

Disagree? Read 4th amendment case law.

A person is protected against unlawful search or seizure without a warrant, or without probable cause that the individual has committed or is about to commit a crime.

So, Joe Blow plane passenger enters a terminal. No warrant to search him exists. And the TSA agent has absolutely no probable cause that Joe has committed or is about to commit a crime. Thus, the search is a violation of the 4th Amendment.

But Americans aren't fighting very hard for their rights now. So....there you have it.

Well said. Thank you. Yes the Government's power is not limitless. While the Airlines may be private companies, the TSA is not. There are limits on what the Government can do to its Citizens. This stuff will be challenged in court and the Government will lose. I'm very confident of that.

Do the wingnuts have a complaint about the govt that they think doesn't violate the Constitution? Or do they just not realize that something can be both constitutional and foolish?

"Wingnut" is a very very over-used term. You're not necessarily a "Wingnut" if you're against TSA thugs publicly groping children on suspicion of Terrorism. Think about that a bit.

Didn't say I was for or against anything. I said it possible for something to be both allowed by the constitution, and foolish to do. Like the invasion of Iraq. It was constitutional, and a foolish thing to do.

You might want to think about that

What is foolish is to think the world is safe, good thing we did not have a pussy in office.

Thank god we destroyed Saddam, I can think of no other leader in the world who needed to be eliminated as much.

Of course killing Christians in Kosovo is okay, Killing Christian children in a train on a bridge in Serbia is the proper way to win a war.

I wonder when our troops will leave Kosovo.

Only a moron did not support the Iraq attack. Only a fool suggests killing tyrants is foolish.

Holiday Travel is so much fun huh? All those cheerful TSA thugs strip-searching children on suspicion of Terrorism? Your Government's Holiday gift to you. Enjoy. :(

Sign at Airport: You have a choice, exercise your freedom and fly without that mean government intervening, fly Libertarian Airways.

Second sign: enter here for groping or here for no groping. PS If you enter no groping please take a minute to sign the beneficiary insurance form and no tort liability form.

Another scenario: You pick the airline, one is run according to our Constitution's restraints on airlines aka freedom, and the other run by government, you pick business pro, you pick.

'My that is a large penis!' Oh I am a porn star, maybe you have seen me? No, not into porn, but have a good trip. Don't you want to feel it? No thanks. 20 minutes later, what was that large explosion? Damn I hope that penis was real.'

This makes me laugh, we went through these Xray machines not long ago and few seemed to care. Fear is a funny thing, allows you to invade a sovereign nation and kill thousands of innocent men women and children, but look at your privates and all hell breaks loose.

If my family and I are safe, they can enjoy the view anytime. LOL

Enjoy your trip to the Gestapo err uh i mean Airport. That's your Government's Holiday gift to you. Enjoy your flight.

Your only right if you can prove what you claim.

A wonderful example of a fool, you are.

I don't have any problems walking through a scanner. And if someone wants to check out my junk, they are free to do so.

Only terrorists have something to hide

And here we have it, the Constitution is foolish, thats right, as the Marxist believe and as the Marxist needs to teach you, its foolish to follow the Constitution.

Depends which time you're referring to mdn2000. The first attack in the early 90's under Bush Sr.? Yeah.........I supported that, because I was there.

The second one after 9/11? No. I did not support that, because Saddam had NOTHING to do with the Taliban or the attack on 9/11. Did he have WMD's? Yes. He had chemical weapons at one time, but he'd used all of 'em up on the Kurds.

Should we have gone into Iraq under Jr.? No. It was a senseless invasion for oil.

I was serving active duty in the military at the time.
