I did a Google search on ...."Patriots deflated footballs" and there were 508,000 results.
All since from Sunday January 11th, 2015 to Jan 22,2015...

I did a Google search on "were there ever 46 million uninsured" 391,000 results from Aug 2009!
Priorities are so screwed up in this country!

Almost everyone talking about the Patriots using deflated footballs and all sort of stories, demands, and other
Patriots forfeit games, etc. OH woe is us! What a shame! What a fraud!

YET NONE Of you even conservatives have ever questioned that there were truly 46 million Americans that
were legal, were eligible for Medicaid/SCHIP or really wanted health insurance?

AND YET because of this grossly fraudulent bogus 46 million number has cost trillions of dollars !
FACTS that less then 4 million truly want and need health insurance NOT 46 million!
Gross Exaggeration: Obama said:“I don’t have to explain to you that nearly 46 million Americans don’t have health insurance coverage today. In the wealthiest nation on Earth, 46 million of our fellow citizens have no coverage.”
Wild Exaggeration ... Not when:
1) Even Hussein agrees that 10 million of the 46 million the Census number used included NON-CITIZENS hence NOT Americans!
FACT Source: Income Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States 2009 - Income Wealth - Newsroom - U.S. Census Bureau

2) When the Census agrees that 14 million "counted" as "uninsured" really due to the fault of the administration WERE NEVER ENROLLED IN MEDICAID/SCHIP!
http://coverageforall.org/pdf/BC-BS_Uninsured-America.pdf
The Actuarial Research Corporation (ARC) estimates that about 9 million of these individuals actually were enrolled in Medicaid during the year, but were categorized as uninsured in the Census survey. In the latest Census health insurance report, the Census Bureau acknowledges
that the survey “…underreports Medicare and Medicaid coverage compared with enrollment and participation data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).”
Among uninsured individuals eligible for public programs, but not enrolled during the year: 89 percent were in working families, 41 percent were children under the age of 18 who could be enrolled in Medicaid and/or SCHIP, and 44 percent were Hispanic."

3) 18 million people making over $50,000 refuse their employers' health plan YET they've been falsely and erroneously counted! 18 million under 34 don't NEED insurance counted as "uninsured"... but don't want it!
These 18 million can afford their employers' plans as they make over $50,000...but they don't want it!
These 18 million spend less then $1,000 per year on health services...again they don't want it!
Check it out see if I'm wrong! CRISIS OF THE UNINSURED 2009

So would you agree there never were 46 million but less the 4 million after subtracting the above 42 million that were falsely and exaggeratedly included?

AND yet almost all of you are discussing "patriots deflated footballs"!
What a screwed up country!

Google update since I did the above post: "Patriots deflated footballs" and there were About 694,000 results or 186,000 more!

whining about the Pats deflated footballs is like RW's whining about the PTUS playing golf.

Obama played golf how many times = About 10,700,000 results (0.42 seconds)

Who is whining? My point is such a truly speck of life issue commands such great interest when we have idiots like Hussein lying like crazy about doctors, uninsured and extremely few people seem to comprehend the destruction this ditz has caused!
And as far as Hussein playing golf? GEEZ I would hope that Hussein would play golf ALL the time!
Remember IKE? Played a lot of golf did very few gigantic things (Interstate for one...) while the country hummed along a grew at a pace unseen up to that time!
Please HUSSEIN PLAY more golf and get the f..k out of making more rules and regulations to the extent we have now
The Obama Administration is aggressively exploiting regulation to achieve its policy agenda, issuing 157 new major rules at a cost to Americans approaching $73 billion annually. In 2013 alone, the Administration imposed 26 new major rules. Although slightly below President Obama’s first-term annual average (33), it was still twice the annual average of his predecessor George W. Bush. And much more regulation is on the way, with another 125 major rules on the Administration’s to-do list, including dozens linked to the Dodd–Frank financial regulation law and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare. Reforms of the regulatory process are critically needed. Without decisive action, the costs of red tape will continue to grow, and the economy—and average Americans—will suffer.

Catching the Patriots cheating is NOT a news story. It's the whole "dog bites man" scenario.

Catching the Patriots NOT cheating would be a story. (man bites dog)

yawn?

exactly. Now you're catching on.
Little siete is getting pretty good at pretending he didn't just get his nose rubbed in his own feces. Practice makes perfect, apparently. :D

Remember the "Pine Tar Game" in major league baseball, when the Kansas City Royals played the New York Yankees many years ago?

Apparently MLB rules said you can't have a "foreign substance" on a bat extending more than 18" from the handle end. And I guess that includes pine tar, since MLB's wooden bats are made of ash wood (or some other wood), not pine wood.

Apparently Yankees manager Billy Martin had known for a long time that one of Royals slugger George Brett's favorite bats, had pine tar that extended from the handle end, eighteen and a half inches up the bat. So the bat was illegal, by half an inch.

But Martin kept quiet about it for months, even as New York played a number of games against KC and their star hitter Brett.

Then at one point, Brett came to bat in one game, using that particular bat, and blasted a 2-run home run into the stands putting the Royals ahead, with 2 out in the 9th inning. Only then did Martin approach the umpire and complain that Brett had used a bat that was technically illegal. The umpire examined the bat, looked in the rule book, and agreed that the bat was illegal. He disallowed the home run and declared Brett was out. With two out in the 9th, this ended the game, with a Yankees win instead of putting Kansas City ahead as the home run would have done.

When Brett heard what was going on and realized what Martin had done, he came tearing out of the dugout with absolute murder written all over his face. His teammates grabbed him and dragged him away before he could get to Martin.

Martin had clearly bided his time, ignoring the "violations" every time that bat was used. It's reasonable to assume that no one (including George Brett) knew the bat was technically illegal. And it's equally unlikely that an extra half inch of pine tar made any difference in how the bat performed, how Brett gripped it, how it drove the ball etc. But when manager Martin saw a situation where he could actually undo something the other team had done to win a game, he then made his move and used the information.

Could it be that the NFL football Colts' head coach knew for a long time that New England was using underinflated footballs, but never said a word, until he found a situation where his team could possibly benefit from officials ruling against the usage of those balls? Was he hoping that, when he complained at the end of last week's playoff game against New England, the officials would disallow any passes Tom Brady threw with those balls (including touchdown passes), take points off the scoreboard against New England, and possibly help Baltimore to win a game they had otherwise lost?

The NFL requires that footballs be inflated to 12.5 to 13.5 psi.

The balls in question were underinflated by as much as 2 psi. Some of them held "only" 10.5 psi.

Clearly, this must be the reason the Patriots scored 45 points while the Colts scored only 7.

The more keywords in a search, the fewer the results, as it creates a more narrow field. That being said, by the time you get past the 2nd page of results from a google search, "results" you're getting tend to be either repeats or not at all related. Or both.

So if you cheat in order to gain such an inconsequential advantage, doesn't that make you pretty stupid?

Right. It "narrows" the results to only the ones that are related to the subject. Oh, the horror.

If you searched only for "footballs", you'd get a zillion hits. But most would not be related to the deflated-footballs-Patriots controversy. Is that what you want?

Thank you for your valid observation.
So assume (just assume...) 70% of "patriot" search repetitious. Honestly compared to the gigantic problems our country faces, "DeflateGate" is pathetic!
The "nouvelles du jour" mavens are really getting desperate for "News Alerts" while ignoring the FACTS Hussein is destroying our country!

You mean, the Patriots knew in advance they were going to win by 38 points, and were silly to worry about inflation pressure?

Or was it possible that the score could have been (say) 16-14 with one minute left to play, and the accuracy of a coming field goal (which IS affected by ball pressure) would make the difference between going to the Super Bowl, or going home?

Makes you wonder, though, how many times has this happened in the past? The week before, the Patriots beat the Ravens by four points, advancing to the AFC championship against the Colts. Did cheating with deflated footballs contribute one of those touchdowns? We'll never know. And that's why the league needs to take a strong stance against this.
