I have lived in Long Beach, I live 15 minutes from Long Beach now. It's not a particularly gay city, it's too violent for gays who look for quieter digs.

Both, actually.

I posted why I think this might be true on the OTHER thread about this subject.

It has nothing to do with Mormonism creating more gays, it has to do with the fact that people who are or were mormons are probably more likely to let you know about their religion.
