In the same way that conservatives have mocked democrats over the possibility that taxes would have to be raised on this country's ultra-rich as "political suicide," the eradication of the ACA is the beginning of a death knell for every republican who would vote to declare this law as null and void.

Sure, it is "good" rhetoric to run a conservative campaign on repealing the ACA but the reality of ACTUALLY tearing it down should scare the crap out of these hypocritical demagogues.

Repealing the law may evoke the cheers of ignorant and poorly educated voters, but the REPLACEMENT of this life-saving law has these conservative politicians fearing for their miserable political existence.

I am actually "glad" that a conservative district judge has ruled the ACA "unconstitutional" because such a ruling is taking the argument from just moronic rhetoric .....to the reality of having to stake one's sorry ass on the line as these same moronic voters FINALLY realize that their health care insurance will either be revoked, or their premiums will be raised high enough to cause a stroke.....

Life saving law?

They REALLY ARE THAT STUPID FOLKS.

Way more people lost insurance and suffered as a result, than suddenly got cured of fuckin cancer. Get the government out of the way, you'd need less lawyers, and the costs will go down.

That's just one thing that could be done with less bed wetting liberal lawyers involved. Then we've got public education cash sink holes.

The whole thing is a farce....obamacare, R's acting like they wanted it to go away and voting against it numerous times when their vote didnt really matter, and now a conservative judge striking it down due to the penalty being taken out of the law. Lol. And then trump and the gang now say they'll keep the law going even though it is unconstitutional. Its like alice in wonderland. I cant even disagree with nat on this one! Lol.

Oh they are dead set on taking away our healthcare...even though they campaigned on NOT doing so just a few months ago.

IMHO the numbers just don't work for the ACA. If the sick people with "pre-existing" conditions are to pay the same rate as the healthy people, and the young do not need to buy in or pay a penalty, and the poor and Mexicans keep getting free healthcare, then the system is unsustainable. My family pays for healthcare but can't afford to see a doctor because of the super high deductibles.
I don't know what the answer is, but it sure isn't the ACA.

and hospitals are going under
27 in 2017 27 healthcare bankruptcies so far in 2017
10 in 2018 10 hospital bankruptcies in 2018

Providing for the general welfare is a general power, and we should be be promoting the general welfare over the general warfare at every opportunity.

The ACA has probably been mortally wounded by this point. It defies reason that republicans will accept an even more expensive and dysfunctional system as a victory.

What did you do with the $2,500 bounty, that rained down on you like manna from heaven?

Some on the left are advancing a market friendly concept to compensate Labor for capitalism's natural rate of unemployment through unemployment compensation for simply being unemployed.

Anyone should be able to be market friendly, in that case.

Having the way it was in 2008 is a better deal.
You may get your wish before it's all over, of course, Republicans will not accept the negative consequences of their actions.

What did you do with your $2,500, tovarich?

The ACA was a start to working on improving health care, it needed a ton & a half of fixing, did they make the choice of both sides working towards a good health care bill?
No they did not, just a political foot ball. a no win for all.

Whatever party successfully passes universal healthcare by deriving funds from taxing tobacco, sugar products and booze will be the party that dominates American politics. It will save our country from going bankrupt with the dozen or so hodgepodge systems currently in place or proposed; all of which are tailored to benefit BigPharma & BigHealth Insurance at the expense of the US Treasury (you know, We the Taxpayers who are dying as a result of this pandering)..
