States are not required to conform with the federal income tax if they have their own income tax. This is useful in getting more SALT revenues. State tax auditors do not get paid to find legitimate deductions for those they audit. How bad will this get in next year's tax season. Please mention if you are in one of the 44 and if you know of new taxes and deductions that are likely to be imposed and give your best guess as to effects on net income. Thank You.
