A lovely piece of fiction written by a hard right pundit, hoping to put a positive spin on Trump's dismal job performance to date. Nowhere in his package did he mention the stimulus to manufacturing that Trump's assorting spending bills have been. The ones that created the largest deficits in history. With the quadruple goosing of corporate tax cuts, massive tax cuts for the wealthy, stimulus spending and deregulation, Trump promised job growth on steriods. Nothing close to that has happened.
What no one is addressing is that workers STILL don't have any significant increase in income, even as corporate profits have never been higher. Unless companies start sharing SOME of those profits with front line workers by way of raises in pay, corporate America will soon reach the point where workers can no longer afford to participate in the economy they're creating. Unless workers start seeing the fruits of the increases in their productivity, they won't be "consumers" much longer.
