If the right wingers want a simple answer to why they got their asses handed to them a week ago, it's over one thing, social issues.

The american people have made it clear they are sick of the far right's hatred and bigotry, and support what the constitution and our founding fathers wanted, freedom for all regardless of race or creed.

The upcoming congress will have the most number of women, the first bisexual representative, the first gay minority congressman, the first two hindi congresspeople, the first buddhist senator, the first agnostic congressperson, a large bump in hispanic and asian congresspeople, and a jump in young congresspeople.

If the GOP ever wants to win an election again, they better get their heads out of their asses and tell the evangelicals and teabaggers to go to hell.
America wants freedom and liberty, not huge government fascism.

I find it depressing that a movement that started trying to create a color blind society, to judge people not by the color of their skin, but by the content of thier character, has evolved into a movement that has found even more ways to pidgeon-hole people into even more subcatagories, groups and tribes.

If stopping the insane spending is your top issue, I take it then you didn't vote for a single GOP person correct?

I voted 2 Libertarian (Prez and Senate), and 1 GOP for Congress because of his stance on slashing government spending

I certainly did not vote for the DEMs who ran on increased entitlement spending and increased taxation
