Okay, because Harry Dresden had the courtesy to dig up some information, I did a little digging of my own, and this is what I found for the UK:

Insurance and MS Multiple Sclerosis Society UK

What it shows is that, thanks to Obamacare, if you're diagnosed with MS in the U.S., you actually have better coverage (unless you're one of those morons who's chosen to pay the penalty instead of getting insurance just to show that "Obama is not the boss of me") for chronic illnesses like MS than you would in the UK.

    Suck on that, SHOUTERS.

Sooo, still no explanation for why a 72-year-old woman can't get Medicare?

    I call bullshit.

Obamacare is a major money saving improvement over the expensive EMTALA crap that was the law prior. Hospitals did more cost shifting from employers/people who didn't pay to ones who did pay, than they did providing healthcare. Now freeloaders/employers have to pay like everyone else. The redistribution cost shifting hospital staff is going away saving us big money.

    So, I'll ask again.....

At the start we were talking 16% of GDP going to health care.

Even in context that is very very high.

Do we have any data that says that is dropping ?

Actually, your claims did not stand the test of time.

CBO Report: 1.4 Million Lost Health Insurance Since 2016 — And Obamacare Is To Blame.

The data in that report — which was released on the same day the Mueller report came out and largely ignored — tells an entirely different story.

All of the increase in the uninsured over the past two years — all of it — is the result of the massive rate increases Obamacare’s mandates and regulations caused. According to the Health and Human Services Dept., premiums in the individual insurance market doubled from 2013 to 2017. They shot up again in 2018.

For those eligible for Obamacare subsidies, the rate increases were meaningless. The amount they had to pay didn’t change much, and in many cases went down.

But for the millions of middle-class Americans who buy insurance coverage on the individual market and aren’t eligible for Obamacare subsidies, the result has been financially devastating.

The rich have plenty of options and the poor have nothing to take, so it’s always the middle class that pays.

    Always.

Not at all. The entire purpose of ACA was to funnel tax dollars to the insurance industry. Go team!
