Thank You, Mr. President

Fortunately, there are a growing number of Americans who believe we cannot continue going on this way.

This is a non-political movement. The 9-12 Project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created.

Mission Statement : Glenn Beck – The 912 Project
On 9/12/2001 the entire country was supportive of Bush. The 9/12 Project, on the other hand, is a group of mainly hateful asswipes that hate the President enough that they carry around signs calling him Hitler and Stalin.

You aren't fooling anyone.

You aren't either!

Scenes From 9/12 : Glenn Beck – The 912 Project

Okay, the first think Mr Scarborough et al need to realize is that America didn't lose a damn thing. Obama did. He put his mesmerizing self out there when he didn't have to and got his ass handed to him on a platter.

wow, attempting to bypass the rules by posting the whole thing one line at a time?

I think a lot of articles need to be posted that way. If a "liberal" posts a link, how many actually read it? And vice-versa.

I also don't think any copyright rule is broken when an article or editorial appearing in an online paper (or elsewhere) also contains links to "share" via Digg, Facebook, etc. Obviously, the author WANTS the writing spread about.

Count me as one conservative who is disappointed that President Obama's hometown will not be hosting the 2016 Olympic Games.

Chicago is a beautiful city that would have made a perfect backdrop for the Olympics. The President was right to fly to Copenhagen to try to land the games, not for the sake of his city, but for the good of his country. The fact President Obama failed makes me respect him more for taking the chance, and the fact many right-wing figures opposed the President's mission shows just how narrow-minded partisanship makes us all.

For the better part of 20 years, a bitterness has infected our politics that has weakened our country.

By way of the 9-12 Project? Glenn Beck's masterpiece? Don't think so. I wouldn't even fake unity behind anything Glenn Beck did if he paid me half his salary and royalties to his DISunifying books.

The man is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and anyone who dissects his little performances every night also know's he's dumb as a box of rocks AND suffers from dry-drunk hallucinations. He sees Communist plots behind the artwork at 30 Rock. Sure, Glenn, sure.

I respect Scarborough. Too bad he's in the minority of what we hear coming from the right nowadays.

I think if Joe saw that there was a chance the fringe elements of the GOP were going to lose their voice, he would probably run for something again. But if lone voices like his are going to be drowned out by the YOU LIARS Republican contingency in Washington, it wouldn't be worth his time or money.

"For the better part of 20 years, a bitterness has infected our politics that has weakened our country."

To me it looks like globalists selling it off to the highest bidder as the culprit. That will breed an uneasiness.
Besides if they keep us busy with nonsense we have less of a chance of seeing what is really happening.

Exactly. I see the Republicans winning some seats in both the House and the Senate next year, enough to send Washington into another pure gridlock where nothing gets done. Then, by 2012, the blame for that will be seen as falling on the Republican just-say-no fringers, and they'll wind up losing the presidency again. Republicans once knew how to win elections, but they've lost even that talent.

Duly bookmarked.

That said, liberals will continue to disagree with his conservatism. No surprises there. But I'll bet this board would be full of loony comments from people like you the first time he agrees with a liberal on something. He'll be thrown under the bus like John McCain or Lindsey Graham. You crazies want someone like Glenn Beck for president.

How many of his books have you read?

Glenn loves America, I have no doubt. But he looks through the looking glass of John Birch Society and Cleon Skousen. Google and research the names, and you are going to be very disturbed by what you read.

What are your objections?
WHat proof do you have Beck has anything to do with the JBS and what is wrong with the JBS ?

How is the JBS more vile then the modern progressive movement?

We are talking JBS scum philosophy, not progressivism that brought us the Pure Food and Drug Act, laws against children in the work place, safer working conditions, and host of other wonderful programs.

So defend JBS if you wish. That will be hard to do, but go for it.

You brought up the JBS. What is it and whats the problem. I know nothing about it.

The John Birch Society is a political advocacy group that supports what it considers traditionally conservative causes such as the private ownership of property, the rule of law and U.S. sovereignty but opposes globalism.[1] The society is on the far right of the American political spectrum.[2][3] Founded by Robert W. Welch Jr. in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1958 the society was named after John Birch, a United States military intelligence officer and Baptist missionary in World War II, who was killed in 1945 by supporters of the Communist Party of China.[4] Birch's parents joined the society as life members.[5] Currently based in Appleton, Wisconsin, the society has local chapters in all 50 states. It owns American Opinion Publishing which publishes the journal The New American.[6]

The society says it is anti-totalitarian, particularly anti-socialist and anti-communist, and leans to right-libertarian. It seeks to limit the powers of government and defends what it sees as the original intention of the U.S. Constitution, based on Judeo-Christian principles. It opposes collectivism, including wealth redistribution, economic interventionism, socialism, communism, and fascism. In a 1983 edition of Crossfire, Congressman Larry McDonald (D-Georgia), then its newly appointed chairman, characterized the society as belonging to the Old Right rather than the new right.[7]
The society opposed aspects of the civil rights movement in the 1960s because of its concerns that the movement had communists in important positions. At that time, however, there were more reports that Hollywood was harboring "Communists in high positions" than the Civil Rights Movement.[citation needed] The society opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, saying it was in violation of the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and overstepped the rights of individual states to enact laws regarding civil rights.

Exactly. Look at how the far right is treating the moderate Republican Congressmen today.

To understand the problem of modern progressive thought, we dont really have to look to far beyond the reasoning in the Kelo decision.
