Texas has pretty much led the way as far as protecting the lives of unborn children and their latest action is going to have the "Feminazis" in a total rage.
Texas Senators have just PASSED a law that will FORBID insurance companies paying for abortions when the life of the mother is NOT in danger or the child is NOT deformed OR the result of rape.

Other laws have ALREADY taken the burden off tax payers and this one should reduce insurance rates for health insurance in Texas. PLUS it's going to save babies AND make adults accountable for their actions.

So it's another small govt. move where the govt. tells a business what to do, but the GOP's platform says different...

I doubt insurance companies will like this much since it costs them a whole lot more for the woman to carry the child to term and deliver. I also doubt this will make it past the Supreme Court since there is no legal reason to prohibit insurance companies from paying for abortions.

More proof that Republicans really do hate women.

Texas needs more brown babies. So be it...

But, will the policies still be ACA-compliant? :dunno:

Nope, but Texas DID keep it's power to nullify when it joined the union. So they don't have to.
Right. We'll see how far that gets them. Obama, his DOJ, and his EPA have a stranglehold on every nook and cranny of this nation.
The state of Texas gave up land to keep it's power to nullify. If the feds TAKE that right they have to give back the land. How much land you ask? Oh.... The United States would lose Texas of course AND four or five other states MADE when Texas joined. Some as far away as Kansas.

As far away as Kansas?

Would that include Toto too?

Texas was a country long before it was a state. And a rather large country but to under populated to protect itself.

Yes it is. It's about wanting control over what women do with their bodies.

If the state is prepared to pay for the children which result from these pregnancies, they might have a case but they're not. They're inflicting undue hardship on poor women and it won't stand up to a court challenge.

Keeping your pants on is an UN-due hardship? Yeah, right.

Spoken like a true slut.

Boy oh boy, what a bunch of hypocrites...the RNC/GOP members bitch for the last few years, on and on how O-Care forces insurance companies to do what o-care says and you guys go through conniption fits that the government should not be able to dictate to the Insurance companies what they should or should not cover, and then YOU turn around and do the same thing you've bitched about the Dems doing.... and now you are all for it, all for the government forcing Insurance companies to do something they don't want to do, and will cost them a bundle of money.

Bravo, hypocrites!

The companies DO NOT want to pay it and the tax payers say NO as well. How about you grow up and leave your pants on? How hard is that? For someone who CLAIMS to be an independent woman to turn around and claim she cannot keep her pants on kind of blows your argument of educated person all to hell.

And why should we the tax payer pay aid? You want to have sex fine, YOU pay for it! The tax payer is TIRED of your whoring ways.
