Texas man "remorsefull" after killing

I agree, but remember pedophillia is genetic.

Kidding aside, I would make this guy mayor! He did the right thing and save tax payer money, it's a twofer!

Why bother a grand jury with this?

Because it's the right thing to do.

In any case..if all the ducks are in a row..

That should be the beginning and end of it.

He probably saved another kid for that sort of horror.

Bullshit - The child's father should not have to defend himself again against the state after defending his child against a rapist & possible murderer. The state needs to leave this family alone unless they have evidence of foul play.

Or..he could have been pissed at the guy for having a affair with his wife.

Or..he could have been pissed at the guy for owing him money.

Or..he could have been pissed the guy was about to reveal his own affair with another woman to his wife.

The "foul play" is a dead guy beaten to death by another guy.

It is 100% proper that the authorities follow proper procedure and conduct an intensive investigation to vette this guy.

I can understand someone wanting to kill some SOB that sexually assaulted thier kid.

I can also feel thier pain when some bleedingheart wants to put the poor molester in rehab.

But this ain't the wild west folks.

Sometimes Its to bad it ain't.

Defending yourself or your child is not foul play. Justifiable homicide is not foul play. If he did not break the law, the state should not charge him just because the criminal is dead. It will cost this family large sums of money that they may not have to now defend themselves against the state. This is why we have the "Stand Your Ground Law". It is to keep victims from having to defend themselves again against the state. That family could use the money that they will have to spend on defense to get counseling therapy for their daughter who was raped. Now instead they will be raped again by the legal system.

Ridiculous.

The very reason we have the civil society we have..is because of the law..and due process. That includes the law and due process for people who can no longer speak.

Taking someone's "word" for the dead guy beaten to a pulp is the road to ruin.

Rampant crime because citizens are afraid to defend themselves is the road to ruin.

I did not say they should take his word & not investigate, but if there is no evidence of a crime then the man should not have to defend himself - AGAIN!

They should resurrect the dead guy and ask him?
