Saleas are strong and production is high! 20K a year would be great!
I'd love to see 100k per year and a price cut.
Pffft...Buncha 1%-ers and their conspicuous consumption toys.
This car needs to be reduced in price about 20-25 thousand. Once that is done then it will take off.
A lotta rich folks buying toys.
In 1990, the same could have been said about cell phones...
I can't wait until the battery that can get 5x times the power is made. A car like this will be made for 30k not long afterwards.
Tesla has not figured out how to turn a profit yet even if you take out R&D.
Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) Income Statement
True, but many start ups of this magnitude take a few years, esp a revolutionary car that a lot of R & D.
Note: These figures were from last year. It was reported they might turn a profit this year. I am doubtful, because they tossed a bunch of dollars into R&D on their newest model. However, we can wait and see, only a few weeks away.
Tesla Quarterly Income Statement is not really much better. They recently cut R&D but their losses have only improved a little. I like Elon Musk, but it seems he has not yet found the secret sauce in Tesla.
