Frankly, I don't think that Schiavo should have ever been made a federal case.

But her husband was a class-a douchebag for insisting on killing her body before her family was ready to let go. If her brain was dead, there was no harm in keeping her body alive, was there? (Other than draining that seven figure settlement he won on the promise he'd take care of her for the rest of her life.)
