Bush does not want to Militarize border security. Somehow the liberal mind translates that into "Open the Borders". GW has also said he wants to provide new assets and equipment to the Border Patrol to increase their effectiveness (O’Reilly interview). There is some cool technology out there that will enable us to not have to put divisions of troops at the border.
