Term Limits?

Should there be term limits for all members of Congress?

  • Yes. I fully support two terms of service and you're out of there.

    Votes: 15 57.7%
  • No. They can serve in Congress forever if they keep getting elected to the position.

    Votes: 10 38.5%
  • I don't have a clue what is best.

    Votes: 1 3.8%

  • Total voters

absolutely not.....

it takes power away from our fundamental right to vote

you don't like them, vote them out.....term limits are stupid

with that said....my exception to this is.....with regards to the potus....that unique position in our government seems to justify term limits.....you have one person, the executive and this country was founded in part on getting away from tryant kings....

the senate and congress are just one out of many.....and lets not forget life terms for the judicial branch....

If we had some basis for our vote besides choosing the perceived lesser of two evils based on artificial labels and / or how much money a given candidate can raise, term limits might not be necessary.

Ain't that the truth.

The people of this Republic have a choice to either accept the lesser of two evils, or demand better for themselves and this Republic. We are the employers of this Republic. The employees are in Washington. Talking like a helpless victim doesn't accomplish anything.

As a whole, people are getting the pathetic government they deserve. You can't put freedom and liberty on auto-pilot. It has to be defended vigilantly every single day. This Republic is screwed up with pathetic employees ( as a whole ) due to pathetic employers not doing their job.

Now what?

Would you rather I spray the thread with Febreeze, because the smell of the ugly truth is too strong?

I shouldn't have to tell you the next steps. If you don't want to be led about the nose, lied to, cheated on, and stolen from by your employees, then stand tall and do what you can to fire them. Form local groups to help educate one another on the Constitution and the current state of the government. Show people how to contact their employees in Washington.

The political whores don't get to Washington on their own. This Republic didn't get in the state it is in overnight. It is not going to get back to a solid constitutional footing overnight.

There are a lot of things that people can and should be doing right now. Sitting and waiting for the next election to come around, isn't going to get the job done.

The employees don't respect the employers (as a whole ) because the employers (as a whole ) haven't earned any respect.

There is nothing magical about putting your fingers to the internet, your feet to the pavement, ink to a book, and getting busy.

Now you're talking.

You are absolutely correct. Turning a river of water is an absolutely exhausting battle with mother nature.

Don't imagine for one minute that re-directing the free-flowing river of cash that IS the DC Gravytrain isn't going to be a somewhere between a pitched battle and a bloody bitch. Historically the major re-directs via revolution are almost as bloody as the hungry grabs at wealth and power that precede them..... although history also shows we are getting better with regards to both sides of that nasty coin.

There is a difference between pointing out the obvious and soliciting the sacrifice of revolution... Are we ready?

Got Pitch-Fork?
