I have known many. A young prostitute was my first friend when I came to California. During the Watts riots a black prostitute hid me and my son in her closet. They are all kinds. They are college girls paying tuition. They are saving to start their own businesses out of sex work. They are supporting children. There are girls so bereft of ability that there is really nothing else they can do.

No matter what message you send to girls they will make their own way. An article in a teen magazine might be in extremely poor taste but will have no effect one way or the other.

There are adult teenagers and the median age of teen vogue readers is 23.8. And none of that changes that the article is not encouraging anyone to become a sex worker.
