Teen dies prior to being hit by taser.

HANSVILLE — A 19-year-old North Kitsap man who collapsed in July after skimboarding near the Point No Point Lighthouse died of natural causes, according to the Kitsap County Coroner’s Office.

Gunnar Lee Strum, 19, died July 22 on a Hansville beach, where he’d spent the day with friends.

Kitsap County Chief Deputy Coroner Al Gerdes said Wednesday that Strum’s death was of natural causes, and that he had a heart condition.

Apparently, he had not yet been tased, therefore, his death cannot be blamed on tasers.
