I was amused yesterday to learn that Teddy Roosevelt was an early champion of universal health care and in fact originally ran for office with it as part of his platform.

It was beaten back, of course, by those that claimed it would make us like the Prussians or the Germans.

If thats the case, I think we should take his face off of Mt Rushmore

We can't have a SOCIALIST on Mt Rushmore

While we're at it, we can blast the face of the greatest mass murderer of the 19th century form the mountain. too.

I learned yesterday that Washington, DC was named after George Washington, the President.

I always thought that George Washington had changed his last name to match the capital's name when he became President.
