Ted Cruz going on Obamacare

So Cruz is a hypocrite when he complies with the law that required Congress to use ObamaCare?

Congress is not required to use ObamaCare.

It's really sad that so many strongly held beliefs are based on lies.

Where do you guys get this stuff??

ALL plans have to be compliant with the ACA and EVERYBODY is REQUIRED to get coverage.....so YES they ARE "required" to use "Obamacare".

Good lord.

The authority of the Bible comes from what we voluntarily choose to give it.

The Bible never endorsed any form of government or political philosophy over another.

Your Bible was written when governments were monarchies or dictatorships. Your Bible endorsed the divine right of kings because to do otherwise would have been sedition. The only "government" it opposed were those where the former rulers became gods upon their deaths because conflicted with the concept of monotheism.

So Cruz is a hypocrite when he complies with the law that required Congress to use ObamaCare?

There are several acceptable options other than Obamacare. Cruz chose Obamacare because, like so many others, he found it to be the best option.

Congress isn't required to use Obamacare. There is no law that mandates that Senators utilize the Congressional insurance perk.

He could buy insurance from any broker across America, without using the Federal exchange or the subsidies.

If he was a man who lives by his principles, that's what he would have done, even if it's more expensive. Freedom isn't free, y'know...

Forced health insurance = freedom isn't free

Once again, you can't make this shit up.
Yeah, you have to insure your car, too, if you want to drive.

Oh, the tyranny!

The state makes you insure the car if you drive on PUBLIC ROADS.

Get it? Or is the concept that I can own a car that does not require insurance over your pay grade?
You can own your car, but can't drive it without insurance. Just as I said.

Is that government tyranny?

Meaning of course he should have just went and got an Individual Plan direct
Correct.

I'm glad you put down the glue for a minute are are starting to understand.

The point here is why?

It matters NOT which plan he buys since they are all compliant.

Just so that he buys one.
The point, Roo, is that he bought the one with the "Socialism" - the one with the subsidies. The Federal Exchange.

He could have bought one without subsidies, and still been able to claim his 'moral high ground' or however he sees it. He could have stayed to his principles.

No, I can even drive it without insurance.

Do you think even those without a car should be required to have auto insurance?

No, I can even drive it without insurance.
See - this is where you just decide to be a dick, and not debate honestly. You're going to tell me that you can still drive it in your backyard, or some other retarded response, right? This is why I've generally stopped responding to you - dishonesty. People don't buy cars to drive them in their backyard or on their own property exclusively.

You admit that you can't drive it on public roads, but if you have a heart attack in a Wal-Mart they will take you to the ER of a public hospital, where the taxpayers will have to pay for your treatment at the highest costs possible in our system. And no protestations from you at the Wal-Mart will prevent you from being taken there. Wal-Mart has a responsibility to not let you die in their store. The EMTs are employed by the same people who employ the ER. You do not have a right under those circumstances to deny treatment.

Change that law first, then you can start bitching about Obamacare.

Your posts are maybe the most ironic of all.

You ignore most of a persons post, pick out a sentence to address any then throw hissy fits.

There is no federal mandate for car insurance. I pointed out that that is a State matter.

This started out with your moronic Freedom isn't free statement.

I can drive my car thousands upon thousands of places without insurance. Got it!

Now, should everyone, even those who don't own a car be mandated to buy car insurance? Sure would drive the cost to me for my insurance way the hell down!

Everyone has a body that breaks down. Until you change the laws that require you to be cared for, then everyone must carry insurance to pay for their eventual broken body.

More liberal silliness. Well, yes, Cruz is going on Obamacare. He's a U.S. Senator and his wife just quit her job to help him run for president, and since they were covered under her job's health plan they now need to use the health plan that's offered to all U.S. Senators, which plan happens to fall under Obamacare.

And, by the way, Cruz is not accepting the Obamacare subsidy.

There is no law that says that Cruz must buy Congressional insurance. He can buy nothing while his wife buys direct coverage from any broker in the country.

Cruz, according to media reports, had been covered under the health plan of his wife, Heidi, who is taking a leave of absence from Goldman Sachs to help his campaign.

What does that have to do with what I wrote?

His wife had health insurance through her employer, not like you claim.

And I don't know, did you look to see if Fed employees AND family must buy through the exchange?
