But to be honest, I'm not sure how this thread is still going because I don't recall anyone explicitly disagreeing with his being fired.

Though I never said I disagree with this particular instance I DID ask where that line should be drawn and how far this should go. All I got were crickets though...

So, where is the line then? Should a teacher be banned from looking for a mate online? Can they not put any ad out at all? Where do you draw the line as unacceptable? Why was the craigslist ad not acceptable?

And porn? If you did a pornographic scene are you then banned from teaching for your life? Methinks that no one has actually stopped to look at where this outrages comes from or leads to...

I don't think it's unreasonable for one to expect that when they make the choice to be in porn they are permanently disqualifying themselves from certain other career choices, including teaching young children.
