There were two issues on the ballot in Maine and Washington State that demonstrated that the Teabaggers are noisy, but essentially toothless windbags. They tried to defund the local and state governments in both states through referendum measures. Both lost by about 60% to 40%.

People chose to have real government rather than bankruptcy. The Teabaggers lost big time.

Anti-Tax Fever Returning to Maine Ballots

AUGUSTA, Maine -- Anti-tax fever, which inspired unsuccessful Maine ballot initiatives in 2004 and 2006, is back again with activists determined to scale back taxes, this time with a pair of questions for the Nov. 3 ballot.

Question 2 is aimed at automobile excise taxes, which can run into hundreds dollars, and Question 4 is a now-familiar appeal to further curb spending and taxes by state and local governments.

Municipalities and other public institutions that depend on those taxes are urging voters to leave the status quo and vote down the questions that were written by the conservative Maine Heritage Policy Center.

Poor, poor Elvis. Nothing but a scatological projecting troll. Not a single brain in that little empty skull:lol:

This is local politics, good for them if they want to pay higher taxes and they think it is being spent properly, I'm much more concerned with the out of control spending in D.C. personally, haven't ever been to Maine.
