If the current congress does not make moves towards lowering the debt then the next congress will have another new look. People are wising up.

No doubt, the debt needs to be addressed, but not with a the trastic surgery that someone like Ryan proposed. Most of the Tea Party would be happy eliminating medicare, medicaid, and other social programs for the poor. But they are not realistic. I expect most of them would vote to send the country into default. It could send the entire world into a Depression, from which it would take decades to correct.

Remember 2008? Remember when the guys in the $5,000 suits said if we don't have this 700 billion dollar Bank Bailout that the economy would crash and martial law would have to be declared? (yes, they said that)

They got the money but do you see the economy improving? It's still going into the shitter isn't it? You think maybe they were lying? So why do you want to believe them now?

The sky will not fall if we fail to raise the debt ceiling. Stop listening to those idiots and just follow your own common sense.

No they didn't far.

Far from it.

They put policies into place that helped him realize his ambitions against the United States.

And it was very directly done by one very conservative family.

Greenspan's talk is useless. We need taxes to be even lower to expand the economy and increase revenues. Lefties don't get it and never will. SPENDING is the only problem, and ENTITLEMENTS have got to be reformed. They are unsustainable. PRIVATIZING the ownership of payroll taxes solves that problem and benefits all.

You lefties are responsible for the mess, and until you're defeated we will never fix the problem.

You have nearly thirty years of recent historical experience demonstrating that low taxes grow the economy and produce deficit-reducing increases in revenue. But, no, lefties still don't get it, i.e., the sheep don't. The elite get it; they just want to control your life. Spending is the problem. Nothing else.

Bu$h II and his Repub Congress got the country into the red. Two unpaid- for wars, unpaid- for tax-cuts, Medicare part D, unpaid- for, etc... Bu$h II put all of those off- budget to make his budget look good. President Obama is just trying to clean up the mess they created.
