Tea Party Values Going Global and Gaining Support

I'm not surprised by this. Freedom & Liberty is a Universal desire. There is clearly a World Socialist movement underway so it's very important for a counter-movement to develop. This is very good news for individual Freedom.

To some, 1/4 of the country supporting the Tea Party movement may not seem like much. But, look at the larger picture. The movement is only one year old. It is gaining momentum, while poll numbers for the Democratic Party, Republcan Party, and President Obama are falling. More Americans support the efforts of the Tea Party than the efforts of Congress. Tea Party members represent a silent majority of the people who are no longer willing to stand by while elected officials corrupt our government. They want to restore principles that have been forgotten. Who could disagree with this?

With that said, if the Tea Party simply endorses the Republican party or becomes a third party then they lose credibility. The significance of the movement is to promote principles, not a party.

Hit the nail on the head.

tea parties going global - Bing

For those of you who wished we were going away I apologize but we are growing in numbers every day.

The MSM's distortions and lies aren't working as good as I thought they were. :).

Hell 28% of america now considers themselves part of the movement More Than One-Quarter Of Americans Are Tea Party Supporters (POLL)

Go ahead and keep talking smack, it appears to be making us stronger not weaker.
28% also still loved them some Dubya at the end of his term. Coincidence? :eusa_eh:

Considering myself and the people I have been to tea parties with didn't support bush (i started with the patriot act they started with the bailouts) I guess it is just a coincidence.

I for one hope it grows and grows, only then can we take our government back, along with our rights as citizens

Take it back to what? The Bush administration? Really? Because you didn't exist, nor did we hear a PEEP out of you until the present administration was elected. Thus, I still consider you all sour grapes fools. Fighting the good fight for corporations does not a grass roots movement make.

Another bush post? Really? Bush and both his republican and his democrat congresses were part of the PROBLEM not the solution. Obama and his congress aren't doing any better, in fact they are suprisingly worse than the worst I had ever seen.

Again I've been protesting the growing government ever since Bush and the congress passed the patriot act. I've been outspoken against the national debt since I was a sophmore in college almost 20 years ago so take this strawman argument to someone else.

On a second note let me humor your assumption and lets say that I didn't start caring, speaking out, or protesting until 6 months ago. Whats wrong with that? So what if I didn't protest under Bush. I may have been asleep to the issue a year ago but at least I'm awake now, saw the error of my inaction, and am doing something about it.

Hell this argument of "you guys only started after bush" reminds me of something ronald reagan once said to his questioner in a debate.

Its not the same thing but you just reminded me of it :).

I was wondering if it was going to be franchised, thinking about getting in early and grabbing it, after all the bloke who controls the Jim Beam Bourbon distribution in this country (he lives in Darwin) is a squillionaire. I could call it the Gum Leaf Conspiracy :)

You could call yourselves the Tea Party Party - or Tea Party2 (the 2 is small script, slightly elevated above the "y" in Party, as in Tea Party Squared).

Thank you very much.

(Slow afternoon here.)
