Tea Party to Raise Debt Limit?

Ummm, if there's a balance budget, you don't have to raise the debt limit.

Duh.

No raise in the debt limit?

Can't wait to see what the New Congress cuts, then.

They probably will. They'll call it a necessary evil that needs to be done before they can start the long process of fixing this fucking fiscal mess caused by the dimwits.
The worst thing you can do to a heroin addict is cut them off cold turkey. You need to ween them off slowly if you want a successfull recovery otherwise you just get self destruction or relaps.
Pretty fucking dumb question if you ask me.

Blame Obama. That's the Tea Party answer when they, with the power of the purse, vote to increase the debt limit.

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

First step is taking the foot of the gas peddel than slowly depresing the brake. If they try to just slam on the brakes right away they will cause a fucking wreck.

Hello! That's what I said in the OP. Truth is, spending is gonna come down all by itself when the stim winds down AND revenues will go up as the economy grows. Of course it is falling revenues due to the Bush recession that is responsible for most of the increase in the deficit, not increased spending, Tea Party rhetoric notwithstanding.

The point is that the rhetoric will in no way meet the policies. The new Republican majority in the house isn't gonna balance any friggin budgets. Republicans haven't balanced a budget since the 50s. It's all a bunch of bullshit that the wingnuts ate, hook, line and sinker.

They balanced it under Clinton you dumb fuck. And if Obama was half as savy as slick willie he will work to do the same. Now pull the partisan dildo out of your ass and come back when you have an intelligent thought.

No they didn't you moron. Tax reform of 1993 balanced the budget. Not one Republican voted for it. They said it would cause a recession in 6 months. What actually followed was the longest economic expansion in American history.

Take another look at the Clinton Presidency my man. This presidency is shaping up on a VERY similar story line. Except Obama actually got heathcare reform.

Basically..aside for administrative costs.."Obamacare" is paid for..

And scored to cut 2 trillion dollars from the budget over the next 2 decades. That may be part of the reason Republicans won so big. Because seniors didn't like the fact it was grabbing something like 500 billion dollars from Medicare.

Clinton rode permanent 10% unemployment to re-election?

Which party's Congress was passing budgets under Clinton's boom?

When was balancing a budget a standard Democrats held themselves to?

Republicans didn't balance shit.

In fact..nearly every Republican administration has caused financial and bank failures.

It's not paid for. It consists of massive transfer payments from private individuals and health care plans, and 10 years of public revenues to cover 7 years of outlays.

Revere, what spending cuts did the Republicans make under Clinton? Did they spend less than the previous year, ever?

Revenues balanced the budget. Tax reform, 1993.

If we had a fiscally responsible government, we wouldn't have to have a vote on whether to raise it.

Do you raise your own credit limit? No. You run out of money, you bite the bullet. We have some hard days ahead. We are ready for them. Are you?

Considering that we've had virtually no inflation in the past three years, rolling back the budget to 2007 levels should be relatively painless --- except for the Big Government Parasites who have fed off the explosion in spending.

They slowed the growth of government.

Is that the tea party plan, continue to grow government, just slower?

So, to be straight, the tea party is for growing government.
