I do kind of agree that yet another thread on the TEA parties is a tad like overkill but.... since the rabid lefties (note: not liberals or democrats) keep starting a new thread on every sentence uttered by anyone who claims an attachment to the TEA Parties, it seems reasonable that some people start a few in defense of them.

Fact is, there is no legitimate evidence either for or against the TEA parties and racism. Simply because many have been infiltrated by the rabid lefties for their own political purposes. When you have ACORN sending people, the SEUI sending people and the HuffPo calling for its readers to be 'citizen jounalists', they lose any credibility on legitimate opposition. One wonders what those volunteer 'citizen journalists' were instructed to do at these events. But when it comes to the tactics of organizations such as ACORN and the SEUI, I think we have the evidence to suggest that their methods were not in the interests of 'honest' feedback.

The majority of the Tea Partiers are not Republicans according to a recent Gallup Poll.

The last poll I saw said that about 49% were INDEPENDENTS and 43% are Conservatives with the rest being very disgruntled Dems.

The fact that 49% are Indis tells me that the Dems need to take heed. The Indi vote is what carried Barry over the top in 2008. If the Indi's desert en masse. The GOP will be the beneificiary. Providing the Tea Party movement doesnt' field a candidate.

Overplaying the race card is just as detestable as actual racism. That being said, I believe there is an element of the anti-Obama crowd that is, in fact, racist. Taking that thought to its logical conclusion, every party and movement has its racists so you can't tag Tea Partiers for being more racist than anyone else.

In Montgomery Alabama the only people who are TeaParty Patriots are white, middle to lower income, and bordering on redneck. That's just a fact where I am. I'm sure it's different across the nation.

O'Reilly did have someone make an interesting point last night on his show...the TeaParty movement is becoming the anti-government (either Repub or Dem) movement...so ignoring them comes at a political price. I'm not sure if I'm just being brain-washed, but the party that I believed I'd seen with my own eyes as extremist here in Alabama is becoming more mainstream.

Many of the Democrats in positions of leadership are card carrying Communists.

What the Tea Party represents to me is Americans. Yes Americans who are sick of the way the Govt is spending their money. They are protesting Barry's agenda. They utilizing their first ammendment rights to protest. The lefties utilize that Right all the time as is their right.

FYI Reagan is dead. And where have I ever used Reagan as a standard? Socialist policies existed before him and have only gotten more numerous. So calling almost any politician a socialist is not blind hatred it's probably closer to the truth than not.

The more numerous socialist policies become, the less free we are because the government exerts more power over our daily lives. it's not a difficult concept.

And compared to the last few presidents, Obama is the most socialist.

GW expanded government more than any other president in the last 4 decades except one (and we kn ow who that one is ) and you have never heard me defend GW.
