Astounding that this tea party movement, which has been largely ignored or intentionally diminished by the mainstream media, continues to grow into an increasingly cohesive and influential component of the American political landscape. The anti-big government sentiment is as strong and viable as it has ever been in the modern era of US politics...

____

For the first time, Obama’s overall job approval rating has fallen below 50 percent (to 47 percent). In addition, for the first time since Sept. 2007, a plurality (45 percent) sees the Democratic Party in a negative light. And the percentage believing the country is on the wrong track (55 percent) is at its highest level in the Obama presidency…
The entire Republican Party, moreover, continues to maintain a net-negative favorable/unfavorable rating, 28 percent to 43 percent.
But, for the first time in more than two years, the Democratic Party also now holds a net-negative rating, 35 percent to 45 percent.
By comparison, the conservative libertarian-leaning Tea Party movement has a net-positive 41 percent to 23 percent score in the poll.

Increasingly cohesive? Really? What do they WANT? And no, simply stating they DON"T want Obama is not an aswer. If they are increasingly cohesive, what is their platform? Who leads them? Who speaks for them in a unified voice?

Yes both parties have paid their MSM minions to go out and smear these good people but it's nice to see that their relentless smearing hasn't worked. The Democrats especially, have paid their MSM hacks to smear these good people so it is sweet justice seeing them getting pummelled by the Tea Partiers. Unfortunately many in the Republican Party don't like the Tea Partiers either and have also engaged in a MSM assault on them. All i can say is...Right On Tea Partiers!! Keep fFighting!!

The Tea Party will prove a boon to the Republican Party. Work is being done to unite the message between the two - the Republican insiders are running scared and knowing survival will require embracing the Tea Party movement - which cuts across party lines but dominates the conservative-independents which make up the most crucial voting bloc in politics today.

We have already started this cohesiveness at the state level, and going into spring, watch for it to be the big power player in the coming 2010 elections...

beach party, cocktail party, garden party, beer-straight-from-the-keg-party, topless party all more popular than tea party, some say.

And the tea party is now more popular than both the Democrat and Republican parties...

They do make some interesting signs.

I love how some still actually believe that the MSM is independent and credible. The MSM has been engaged in a well coordinated smear campaign against these good people in the Tea Party movement. The MSM has simply taken their marching orders from the Democratic Party and some in the Republican Party. Good to see it hasn't worked though. WTG Tea Partiers! :)

I love even more that some believe the Tea Party is an actual political party, with actual members and actual pull.....funny stuff!

Ay-yup, the teabaggers certainly do represent mainstream America. Not. The great majority of America laughs at them, and majority of that majority laughs at the Republican Party, which is running away from the loonies to their right. Oh, my. If the teabaggers get any pull in the GOP in the next year, the election of 2010 will be a massacre of the right by the right. The Dems will stand idly by cleaning their finger nails then pick pieces up; they won't have to do anything and their power will still increase.

It's amazing, The Dick Army is that popular, without actually accomplishing anything at all. Remind me again of all the election victories of the Tea Party movement?

The teabaggers are the best thing that ever happened to the Democratic Party. They keep the Republicans in line, prevent them from appealing to centrist Americans and present a lunatic image that makes people laugh at them
