Tea Party Group Urges Small Businesses ‘Not To Hire A Single Person’ To Hurt Obama

How can government ever function effectively for the people if the sole goal of the party not in power is to totally gridlock and undermine the party in power at the expense of the people? Yes, both parties do it, but the Republicans have taken it to a new level - a dangerous level. They have practically made voting irrelevant.
The Framers set up the federal government this way on purpose. That is to limit the power of government. So that it cannot run roughshod over the people.
The idea is for government to be limited to essential functions.

Congressional Republicans have acted shocked and offended at Democrats’ suggestions that they are intentionally sabotaging the economy to try to win back the White House in 2012. Republicans have refused to pass President Obama’s jobs plan — which experts estimate will create at least 1.9 million jobs — and proposed an alternative plan that Moody’s says “will likely push the economy back into recession.”

Now influential Tea Party leaders are throwing caution to the wind and openly lobbying business owners to stop hiring in order to hurt Obama politically. This week, Right Wing Watch picked up on a message Tea Party Nation sent to their members from conservative activist Melissa Brookstone.

In a rambling letter titled “Call For A Strike of American Small Businesses Against The Movement for Global Socialism,” Brookstone urges businesses “not hire a single person” to protest “this new dictator”:

Mitch McConnell said it a mere two months into Obama's Presidency. Their number 1 job is the make Obama a one-term President. Doesn't matter who or what get's hurt in the process. That's their job and main goal. All else be DAMNED!

Here is a democrat CEO and a strong supporter of Harry Reid that has a lot to say about Barack Obama too.

“I’m saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, progress and job creation in my lifetime. A lot of people don’t want to say that. They’ll say, ‘Oh God, don’t be attacking Obama.’ Well, this is Obama’s deal, and it’s Obama that’s responsible for this fear in America.”

“The guy [Obama] keeps making speeches about redistribution, and maybe ‘we ought to do something to businesses that don’t invest or hold too much money.’ We haven’t heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists.”

“Business is being hammered. The business community in this country is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the president of the United States. Until he’s gone, everybody’s going to be sitting on their thumbs.”

You must think we are as dumb as you look.
Thinkprogress, a far left wing radical blog puts out some unsubstantiated nonsense and you like all other lefty moonbats eat it up like it was ice cream. Have you not a single independent thought in your head?
I like how it says "picked up on a message". As though think progress had some sophisticated listening device on a remote mountain top and that device was manned by code breakers....Holy shit! The desperation of the political left has gone so extreme, it's free entertainment.
Next thing we know think progress will release a story that says some thing like, "people who wear gray suits with blue ties are actually part of a racist anti Obama hate group funded by the Tea Party".....
You people have been smoking too much mother nature.

Since you don't trust it from Thinkprogess, there's the link to the actual call from TPN slapnuts.

Small business hires when they need employees--regardless of who is in the oval office. I am very suspicious of this claim also---especially coming from a RADICAL left wing web site.---:lol: How can an employer NOT hire when they NEED employees?--LOL

Keep laughing, Buster!!! We'll see if you still have a funny bone after the general.

The election in 2012 is going to be so bad for Obama and Democrats that it is going to be reminiscent of Custer's last stand. NY29 was the writing on the wall. A seat that was held by democrats since 1923 was lost to a republican--in one of the bluest sections in this country (Brooklyn and Queens).

We have several democrats that are announcing their retirements right now--because they are up for reelection in 2012--and know that they're going to get their arses kicked--and they are bashing Obama on their way out the door.

A billionaire casino owner who is against Obama?

What are the odds?

icon_rolleyes.gif

Considering that this CEO probably voted for Obama--since he is a heavy supporter of Harry Reid--I think the odds were fairly LOW--- Steve Wynn has had a change of mind regarding BO--and his economic policies. Right now he has signs up in Las Vegas--stating fire Obama and I'll hire 10K employees the next day.

Holy shit, these people are pure evil.

By suggesting that the very people who have been villified by this administration fight back?

How many jobs are being created by smelly OWS demonstrators?

Of course, the small businesses don't need TEA Party groups to tell them not to hire. Obama's policies are doing that.

In related news, we were informed last week that our health insurance premiums are increasing by 14% thanks to Obama Care. In other related news, we laid off 20 people at the end of September.

Explain to me how that's the TEA Party's fault again?

McConnell is openly putting his party ahead of his country.

Where I'm from, we call that a lack of patriotism.

Yes, I'd have to call you one of them.

Again, the point is not that McConnell wants a Republican in the WH.

The point is that he's willing to harm the country in the process, by refusing to work with the President on any issue.

You cannot find a comparable remark from a Democrat.

How can government ever function effectively for the people if the sole goal of the party not in power is to totally gridlock and undermine the party in power at the expense of the people? Yes, both parties do it, but the Republicans have taken it to a new level - a dangerous level. They have practically made voting irrelevant.

As you said, both parties are doing it. Until we get a third (or more) party with enough elected officials to make a difference, or a non-partisan way of electing our officials, all we will continue to see are these silly tit-for-tat games. Which is sad because they are killing what our forefathers wanted the government to be.

You are joking right? The system is working EXACTLY like the forefathers wanted. There is supposed to be a counter weight to whichever political party or group is in charge. This keeps one idelogy from dictating the direction of the country. If it seems childish and wasteful, then found a new party and promote your ideas. Seems to be working for the hundreds of Tea Party leaders.

Bullshit. If the founding fathers could have envisioned the Tea-Tard Republicans, I'm sure they'd have written a different Constitution.

I don't care what you can find, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS, eh?
But then maybe if you looked hard enough, you could find anything you want.

Democrats under Bush were the loyal opposition regarding putting Americans first.
