Looks like the blush may be off the Tea Party rose...

A series of Public Policy Polling (PPP) surveys conducted from Oct. 25-26 and released on Sunday show four GOP freshmen -- Reps. Allen West (R-Fla.), Joe Walsh (R-Ill.), Chip Cravaack (R-Minn.) and Frank Guinta (R-N.H.) -- facing trouble in the polls. Veteran Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Calif.) is also in a battle for his electoral life.

    .

At some point the GOP will have to be able to stand on its own two feet, without leaning on its whackos.

It is the inability to compromise, I think, that is turning voters off.

It doesn't matter who wins the Presidency, the Tea Baggers will be minimized. Remember that Ryan is counting himself among them. Moderate Mitt, the "severely conservative" wonder will turn his back on them quickly.

He chose Ryan to win Wisconsin and he will lose it....

This bunch of froot loops were elected on the promise of jobs and as we all know, they have not even made a vote in favor of jobs or introduced even one jobs bill. Instead, they have yammered almost daily about so-called "social" issues, passing lots of Big Government laws and taking basic human rights away from the people they hate.

Even if they were not in favor of huge government control over citizens, some of them are just so incredibly crazy, they're damn near certifiable.

The GOP is dead. I can't imagine how it can be resurrected any time in the near future. What they have now are a lot of fundie freaks who have been very effective in stopping any bipartisan efforts to work with the president. Its actually been pretty impressive the way they have taken over control of the government and split the congress.

Mitt has no balls of his own. We've seen him use his sons' , Ryans' and his wifes' but never seen him use his own.

I think Mitt will be what he has shown himself to be all along - whatever big money pays him to be.

Kochs, Bush's Brain are teepotter types, fundie and, as we've seen, very much in favor of huge government. Even though they don't believe Mitt will win, they'll own him if he does. That means no jobs or economic recovery efforts but lots of laws to control people and lots to increase money into the pockets of the 1%.

Thank goodness, because we don't want elected officials who want to balance the federal budget via spending cuts and pro-growth policies. We want elected officials who believe we can borrow and tax our way to prosperity. Look how well that's working in Europe!
