The World is full of whackos, and Christine is wasted meat. Its OK to be a humane being.

Tea Party Candidate Against Masturbation?

Just another reminder that many Tea Partiers have less interest in "small government" than in a tyranny of the minority.

September 6, 2010 | Christine O’Donnell, Tea Party candidate for Senate in Delaware, doesn’t want you to masturbate. Back in the 90s, she appeared on MTV to argue for a lust-free youth. And lust-free, O’Donnell clarified, means masturbation-free. At the time, O’Donnell was the president of Saviors Alliance for Lifting the Truth (SALT), a group “with a focus on establishing conservative

Her campaign against masturbation was only the beginning of a lifelong assault on human well-being.

This kind of repression and denial is, of course, what gets people into trouble: we’re not really having sex so let’s not use a condom; we weren’t supposed to have sex so let’s abandon the baby in a trash can.

So while O’Donnell’s vocal opposition to masturbation at first seems laughable, it’s part of a larger philosophy that we should take very seriously now that she’s running for Senate. Government interference in people’s sex lives may seem like a thing of the ancient past, but what are bans on gay marriage about, if not sex? And impediments to emergency contraception access? Just another reminder that Tea Partiers, who call themselves “the true owners of the United States,” have less interest in “small government” than in a tyranny of the minority.

Alternet?

A quote from 'the 1990s'

Thanks but I'll wait till there is a valid criticism before I jump on a bandwagon.... less risk of falling off and looking like a fucking moron that way.

When you need a new straw to clutch at, maybe look for something a tad more .... ummmm.... current.... perhaps within the last decade? Just an idea.

If God had intended for us not to masturbate, He would have made our arms shorter.
- George Carlin

When the temptation to masturbate is strong, yell STOP to those thoughts as loudly as you can in your mind and then recite a prechosen Scripture or sing an inspirational hymn.

the 'small government' tea parties are also the most rabidly anti choice, being in favor of forcing women to carry children they got pregnant with through rape or incest.

so much for 'small government'. they love government so long as its in your bedroom but away from your corporate CEO's.

Jillian, mo chara, does it not embarrass you - just a tad - to be jumping onto a story from the 1990s? From Alternet? Seriously?

I pray she beats Castle. She makes the gift of Sharon Angle look like a trinket.

Never mind, it was kittens.

They're going to take America back!

Back to Victorian values that repressed human nature in order to appease prudes.

Back to a nation where the minorities were neither seen nor heard. To quote Archie Bunker, we didn't even know we had coloreds 'til Elinor Roosevelt showed 'em to us!

Back to values and dogmas so out of step with main stream America one would think the Amish developed them.

Whackers of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your privacy!

Nothing embarrasses her. If I posted half the crap she does I'd hang myself in shame.
Yeah, dredging up unsubstantiated crap from 20 years ago and then proclaiming this is what "The Tea Party" believes is par for leftists, who can't move their lips without lying.

For that matter saying that suggesting people should not wack off, or being against Abortion is in anyway related to big or small government is simply stupid.

Roe v Wade was an EXPANSION of the federal governments power over the states. Not the other way around. Opposing roe v Wade is opposing an over step of federal power.

There are in fact many Pro Choice people who are also constitutionalists who recognize that while they want people to have access to Abortions, Roe V wade is bad law because it violates the spirit of the constitution by giving the Feds a power over the states they should not have had.

Or to put it another way. It expands the Federal governments power.

Christine O'Donnell, Delaware Tea Partier, Criticized Masturbation On MTV's 'Sex In The 90s' Show

Long before she became the latest fascination of the political press and the cause-of-the-moment of the Tea Party movement, Christine O'Donnell (R-D.E.) was appearing on news outlets large and small extolling the sins of not just sex but masturbation.

The Delaware Republican, who is challenging Rep. Mike Castle in the state's Senate primary and has earned the financial backing of a portion of the Tea Party movement, made an appearance in the MTV series "Sex In The 90s." Entitled "The Safest Sex Of All," the episode was ostensibly geared towards understanding the importance of abstinence. But O'Donnell's guidance went a bit further. Masturbation, she argued, is not a moral substitute for sex. "The Bible says that lust in your heart is committing adultery. So you can't masturbate without lust."

"The reason that you don't tell [people] that masturbation is the answer to AIDS and all these other problems that come with sex outside of marriage is because again it is not addressing the issue," she extrapolated. "You're just gonna create somebody who is, I was gonna say, toying with his sexuality. Pardon the pun."

...

And yet, all those tea bagging, jerk offs support her.

The story might be dated Sept 2010.... the remarks are not.

It's called 'rehashing. Just sayin'.

Besides the fact that Obama is inflicting major damage on himself due to his abject ineptness, the tea party is also inflicting major damage on him hence, ridiculous threads like this one from Obamabots who are in full desperation mode.

Just imagine the comedy and meltdowns coming from these people after Obama is officially deemed a lame duck after the november slaughter takes place.
