Tea Party Alive and Well - Democrats Scared

The Democrats are obsessed with the Tea Party movement. Just last week Washington Post columnist E.J.Dionne declared "Tea Party thinking..dead." What's so hilarious is the inherent contradiction in Dionne's argument? So close to the election no Obama media minion will waste time on a supposedly defunct, irrelevant group of people whose time has come and gone. Yet the media driven lies about the Tea Party Movement abound in Dionne's op-ed.

---

In playing the Tea Party card at the last minute the desperate Dems have not only demonstrated their ignorance of how deeply the spirit of the movement has become ingrained in America's consciousness, but they have managed to validate the power of that movement.

So despite conflicting reports of their demise Tea Party patriots are not going away. A future Romney-Ryan administration would do well to get the rubber stamp out.

Resurgence of the Tea Party

Very recent polling shows that favorability ratings for the victimized Tea Party have increased sharply, up 14 percentage points since January. With 44% of respondents viewing the Tea Party in a positive light, the group enjoys numbers only 7 percentage points below their peak in April of 2009, when they had their greatest impact.

Perhaps more importantly, these conservative groups are seeing an uptick in support from Republicans, from 61 to 80%. Meaning, nearly 20% of Republican voters look at the freedom loving group less as Wacko birds, and more as a legitimate brand.

And with legitimacy and favorability comes...

Money

This is actually a two-pronged consequence of the scandal.

While Democrats have tried to distance themselves from the issue, they will no doubt have to answer for the over $700,000 that their campaigns have taken in from the IRS.

As the NRCC reports, numerous Democrats and their PACs have received campaign contributions from the National Treasury Employees Union which represents IRS employees. This fact prompted NRCC Spokeswoman Andrea Bozek to quip, "No wonder Democrats want higher taxes – their campaigns are funded by the IRS."

The group has since demanded that House Democrats "give back their tainted IRS cash".

Tea Party Patriots: ‘The largest Tea party protest since 2010 is tomorrow’

1:10 PM 06/18/2013

Conservative activists are planning to storm Capitol Hill on Wednesday for what they are predicting will be “the largest Tea Party protest since 2010.”

The protest — drawing tea partiers like TV host Glenn Beck and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul — is in response to the Internal Revenue Service’s recent admission that it has been specifically targeting conservative groups for extra scrutiny.

The gathering on the West Lawn of the Capitol is being called the “Audit the IRS” Rally.

MoveOn.org tries to sideline Tea Party over shutdown fears

Published September 30, 2013

MoveOn.org is whipping up its followers to make the most of the congressional gridlock in Washington, D.C., and rustle up a few bucks.

"The (government) shutdown -- while terrible for America -- is a big opportunity to go on offense and send the tea party into permanent decline," the liberal group declared in an email blast Sunday.

"Our plan is to start by putting targeted web ads on Facebook and other websites targeting the most vulnerable Republicans facing re-election next year," the email stated.

Borrowing a phrase that Leon Trotsky made famous, MoveOn declares: "If we play our cards right, 2013 could become known as the year the tea party relegated itself to the dustbin of history."
