Tea Party Alive and Well - Democrats Scared

The Democrats are obsessed with the Tea Party movement. Just last week Washington Post columnist E.J.Dionne declared "Tea Party thinking..dead." What's so hilarious is the inherent contradiction in Dionne's argument? So close to the election no Obama media minion will waste time on a supposedly defunct, irrelevant group of people whose time has come and gone. Yet the media driven lies about the Tea Party Movement abound in Dionne's op-ed.

---

In playing the Tea Party card at the last minute the desperate Dems have not only demonstrated their ignorance of how deeply the spirit of the movement has become ingrained in America's consciousness, but they have managed to validate the power of that movement.

So despite conflicting reports of their demise Tea Party patriots are not going away. A future Romney-Ryan administration would do well to get the rubber stamp out.

The TEA party is the best thing that has happened to the Democratic Party. Seriously. Look at your Presidential candidate. He is being rejected because a plurality of Americans aren't buying his transformation from right-wing kook to moderate Mitt. And he will lose handily tomorrow.

Usually parties fight tooth and nail for the middle. That the GOP is giving it up without a battle is bewildering to independents but gleeful to democrats.

the GOP is not giving up the middle.....Romney is rounding them up as we speak.....however the middle is moving to the right in the future.....bye bye radical lefties....

No; not so much. Case in point is Hurricane Sandy. He made a boneheaded comment about getting rid of FEMA because he was pandering to the hard right wing of the party. Turns out, FEMA is integral to disaster response as all were reminded this past week.

The tax pledge, the flip flops on abortion, the flip flops on tax policy, etc.... The GOP is going to be very effective in 2014 running in gerrymandered districts and you'll see another "mandate" in 2 years. Incumbents have a hard time sustaining their party in the Oval Office past their 2nd term. That being said, I wouldn't be totally shocked to see a Democrat as Obama's successor in 2016. The TEA party is making it very difficult for a GOP candidate to pivot to the center.

I can't wait to see what Stalinesque character they come out with in 2016.

Dimwits are always obsessed with what scares them.

In the crowd of poorly educated rubes there are a few mouth-foaming wingnuts with guns...

Everyone is concerned with this fact.

In the extreme, the Tea Party is the American Taliban.

Misinformed masses filled with impotent rage is not good for business.

The GOP is the "low information voter" you hear about in the press nowadays.

You'd figure that they would learn from the great Romney mistake but apparently they will be happy to have their "victory".

They will consolidate power in 2014 because the big money won't be there on the other side of the ballot. They may take the Senate even. It's a possibility. But the more they take the more they have to defend--sooner or later those who bought into the hype will want to see results of which there will be none. Failure is in the future but not for a while.

How is the great Romney mistake a mistake before he's elected? We've lived through four years of the Obama mistake so what's your comparison here?

And since when is the Tea Party principal of letting the people keep their money with lower taxes and debt taking from anyone?

Failure is in the cards as soon as tomorrow if we keep going with Obama and the dems plan. We will fail at borrowing and spending.

First, welcome to the board.

Romney won't be elected tomorrow. Obama won the election when Romney got the GOP nomination.

The mistake is that the TEA party forces candidates for the GOP nomination so far to the right, when they have to pivot back to the middle in the general election, they look like Romney does which is totally disingenuous to anyone who has been paying attention and isn't an ideologue.

When I said, "The more they take" I was speaking of their seats in Congress. When they have a few members, those who voted them in can say, "Well, they are outnumbered." As they gain more members, they need to start producing. Since they are not willing to compromise, production will either not come or the compromises will be less extreme than was advertised. In business today, when you can't work with others, you are gone. Soon the TEA party will find that out as well.

Again, welcome to the board.

Tossup states, the night before election

Colorado President Obama 1.5 6 polls, 4 Obama, 2 Romney

Florida Governor Romney 1.5 6 polls 3 Romney, 2 Obama, one tie

Iowa President Obama 2.4 7 polls 5 Obama, 2 Romney

Michigan President Obama 4.0 6 polls, 5 Obama, 1 Romney

Nevada President Obama 2.8 5 polls, all Obama

New Hampshire President Obama 7 polls, 6 Obama, one tie

North Carolina Governor Romney 5 polls, 3 Romney, 2 ties

Ohio President Obama 2.9 7 polls, 6 Obama, one tie

Pennsylvania President Obama 3.8 7 polls, 6 Obama, one tie

Virginia President Obama 0.3 10 polls, 5 Obama, 3 Romney, 2 ties

Wisconsin President Obama 4.2 5 polls, 4 Obama, one tie

On the night before election day, Romney leads in only two of the tossup states. And it looks like only Virginia is shaky in the President column. At best it looks like Romney may get 248 electorial votes. And he may very well not get Virginia. So that would leave him with 235. Don't see Romney winning.

But with power comes responsibility and accountability.

TPM members in the House have failed to practice responsible governance, the credit-rating debacle the most glaring example.

Members of the TPM in Congress found it easy to be the revolutionaries fighting from the hills; but once in power they’ll completely incapable of running a government, and the ‘revolution’ dies.

Thank you for the welcome, I appreciate that. Romney is up by double digits with independents. Apparently he isn't too far right for them. Romney isn't as far right as I hoped for but in the end that may work out just fine.

I'm not worried about congress remaining GOP, my focus is getting the Senate to go along with that and if Romney wins I think the Senate will follow. Then you will actually see the production. The reversal of Obamacare will be just like it was passed along party lines. The difference will be once those seats and the presidency are set the economy is going to take off big time before they are even sworn in. The money people are sitting on will come out, people will relax and we will suddenly be out of the depression. It will take a few months for unemployment to drop and I'm sure we will have to hear the Obama's plan is working bullshit along the way but just him being gone will create jobs.

Again, thanks for the welcome.

Yeah, you're right. Compromise is the coin of the realm.

Which is why I think there will be voluminous chatter about splitting the nation starting in about 36 hours.

Credit rating is a very simple mathematical equasion. You can't spend more than you can pay for. The credit rating didn't drop because we needed more credit it dropped because we are at the edge of being able to pay the loans back. It didn't drop because one group was trying to reverse the trend the credit rating dropped because we wanted to borrow more fucking money. If you want the credit rating to go back up you pay off some of your debt. The credit rating doesn't go up because you are using more credit and running out of ways to pay for it. That's just fucking stupid thinking.

Tea Party Republicans are just that - Republicans

the TP movement was not for either political party originally and because they have allowed themselves to be taken over by the Republican Party the original movement of Free Americans has already - Died.

I think you got that just a little backwards, the republican party didn't take over the tea parties, we are changing the republican party, you don't believe me ask David Dewhurst here in TX. He was the establishment republican candidate and we kicked his ass in the primary, Ted Cruse will be the next senator from TX, replacing the rino Hutchenson.

I don't get it. A true Tea Party member wouldn't vote for Romney, he'd vote for Johnson. I think what you mean is the spend and don't tax Republicans who bandwaggoned with the tea party are strong.

Hey STOOPID, you're not a Tea Party member so how would you know?? Even Independents who lean libertarian are breaking for Romney.. No one wants Obama the Assclown to destroy our nation. You kool-aid drinking ZOMBIES can blame yourselves.. there was never ONCE, NOT ONCE that any of you SMACKED IN THE HEAD lemmings ever held him to account, as if he is PERFECT. When left unchecked government becomes corrupt.. it's as age old as the bible.. Our FOUNDERS knew this.. Only you fringe left KOOKS didn't get it and still don't. Americans's cannot trust you or your messiah.. END OF STORY.

You know what happens to teabaggers right?

They get steeped. All hot and worn out after Obama gets re-elected.

They give it their all and then they get tossed to the curb. If they're lucky they get used again... and THEN tossed to the curb.
