Taxing just the rich is a futile effort.

But they sure don't turn down his money, do they?

It's not that much when compared with the pet billionaires in the republican party. It's pretty shitty when you guys accuse the left of allowing a billionaire to rule them when the rest of them own conservative politics lock stock and barrel. Soros could retire from his mission to save the word tomorrow and we would never miss him but you cannot say the same for the republican tea party and the Waltons and the Kochs and Adelson all the rest who have made you devote all your political energy to keep their tax bill low.

How much of my money do you want kid?

I am probably older than you and unless you are exceptionally wealthy I don't want anything from you, if you are exceptionally wealthy then quit yer bitchin and go ride a jet ski instead hanging around here moaning about taxes. If the billionaires are unhappy it's their own damned fault.

I remember when Obama came up with this crazy idea taxing the rich was the solution to all of our economic woes. I thought that nobody would believe that total horseshit. Boy was I wrong.

Fact is this is just a distraction. It's something to keep both sides fighting amongst themselves and keep everyone off of his back while he goes about undermining this country and forging ahead on his goals of a statist government. One that controls the economy instead of providing the environment needed for the economic growth.

If YOU want more money go earn it, it really is that simple.

I make more than enough to meet my needs and I do not begrudge my taxes on merely ideological grounds as you do, I see them as a necessary evil just like the utility bills, they could be lower but I would have to turn off the heat and live in the dark just as lower taxes means that my road might not get paved for twenty years or the government goes into more debt.

Every little bit helps. I pointed out a few things which would also help in reducing the deficit and eventually the debt, but you and others continue to focus on defending millionaires and billionaires and making the working poor pay taxes.

I think that's reprehensible and myopic.

How much money have you sent in? Or are you generous only with other people's money?

Lefy's NEVER send any extra money in....
Hell, some don't even pay their taxes.

I've heard all the conspiracy theories about him mostly from the same people who think our president was born in Kenya, not really going to give them a lot of credence. I see the guy as a useless political busybody and would be very happy if he would just butt the hell out of politics, the left does not want him or follow him nearly as much as you think they do.

Yes, liberal money is different. Somehow. It just is. So there!!

I would like to use this tax conversation as a sounding board to ask if there is anyone other than myself about the new public exercise of supporting our troops with private money in order for them to have adequate medical and now just this morning I heard a solicitation for private money to supply our troops with adequate equipment be because our government is doing such a poor job of anything when it comes to our veterans. At this moment I don't care if it is a fair tax or whatever you want to have in place if it is not presently working. Really, do you think the citizens of this country should be ask to put out more money on top of an ever increasing taxation to take care of the medical and equipment that our government should be a absolutely accountable for?! HELP!!!

Sure the government should be accountable for those things. I agree.

But I also think that anytime a charity or private organization does the providing, you and others will get better care without all the government bureaucracy.

I would much rather give to a charity or private organization any day than to government when they can not even balance the damned budget. More of the money from Private charities, goes to actually help veterans and others. Because they work with a host of volunteers rather than a bunch of government bureaucrats

Apparently so, it doesn't seem to be buying them control of the party platform as it has in the republican party which is now entirely occupied with keeping their hard won plutocratic socialism right where it is if not increasing it. There is nothing for working people in the republican platform other than the same empty trickle-down promises, nothing.

The infrastructure bullshit again.
You guys are sad little one trick ponies, its always either the "roads and bridges" or the "police, fire dept, teacher" shit.

...and there you go making silly assumptions again.

Here is a sad little factoid you are too ignorant to learn,

You morons have been making this "feed the poor" argument for 50 years, poverty levels have gone up no matter how much of other peoples money you throw at it.

ITS the spending, no nation can use more than 50% of it's budget for "entitlements" and continue for very long, Obama is printing 41 Billion a month kid...why isn't that helping?

Soros owns many of the media sources you get your crazy ideas from, so it isn't money alone that he's contributing.

And all of these invisible billionaires you talk about aren't trying to destroy the economy like Soros is.

He swore to do it while Bush was in office but it took putting a shit-for-brains like Obama in to make it all possible.

The argument could also be made that poverty has increased because until now neither party has required results for their handouts to the wealthy. As a nation we have given them an obscene amount in tax cuts as an incentive to create jobs and it has not worked, if any other government policy was that expensive and such an incredible failure you would be all over it demanding it be discontinued, that is exactly what allowing the Bush tax cuts to finally expire is, an end to a deficit exploding government program that does not work as advertised.

More conspiracy theories? Did you get that information from Cato or Heritage?

Tell me, why isn't the 41 Billion a month Obama is having printed helping?

Be a little more clear about whatever specific program you are talking about and I might have an answer but I suspect you are blaming all deficit spending on just one man in four years rather than thirty years of bad policy by both parties.

You aren't very bright.

Obama is havng the Fed print 41 Billion dollars month in and month out, why isn't this helping with the poverty you are so keenly concerned with?

Obama has control of the fed? Wow he is even more awesome than I thought since no president has ever been able to directly dictate their actions.

Well technically he called it a "managed decline".
