Mostly because they ARE. The employees could make more money by becoming a more valuable employee, but they want to be paid for complaining. The needs of the employee has nothing to do with the money the company makes. Inflation is CAUSED by rising costs, which includes wages and benefits. The employee demands more, the company raises prices to cover the increased costs, then the employee complains about the inflation of the increased costs.

They sold the Sixteenth Amendment as a "soak the rich scheme". Of course, it didn't work that way. The rich merely passed the additonal costs to the consumer.

Practically none of the 1% are actually what you would call entrepreneurs, the vast majority of their wealth is locked up in static investments rather than circulating in the economy.
